Jungkook's P.O.V.
Halloween was seven days away, so (y/n) and I were lying on the couch watching a new episode of The Walking Dead. She had been texting someone a lot that day, but I wasn't sure who. "I'm gonna go get something to eat," she said, giving me a quick peck and then walking into the kitchen. Her phone, which was laying on the table in front of me, vibrated and the screen lit up. I leaned forward to see who it was.
Some guy named Joshua. The only person she knew and told me about with this name was her ex-boyfriend, Joshua. I picked her phone up and unlocked it, the code being the year I was born.
Josh:
Just wanted to let you know that I will be coming to see you very soon. I love you.
Are you serious? The anger inside me bubbled. I shot up from the couch, making my way into the kitchen. "I got a bowl of pretzels," she smiled, holding the bowl out. I knocked it out of her hands, the glass shattering by her bare feet.

"Jungkook, what the hell?" I shouted. "No, what the hell to you! What is this?" he yelled, holding up my phone in front of my face."You were looking at my messages?" "You got a text and I saw it was from Josh, so I picked it up out of curiosity since he is your ex after all. Now you explain." "I don't-" I began to speak, but he cut me off. "Actually, I don't even want to know," he snapped. "Jungkook, I don't know-"
"You know what, I don't care because I don't really even love you. I mean, how could anyone love somebody like you? You're worn out and a worthless waste of space. You mean nothing to me, and I regret every second I've spent with you!" "Kookie-" I croaked, tears running down my face. "Get out!" he yelled. I went for the door, slamming it behind me.
Emotions now controlling me, I kicked and hit the brick walls as I walked down the street. How could I be so stupid? I trusted him and gave him something so special, and this is what happens? Screaming inside my head, tears poured down my cheeks.
I went into the nearest convenient store, buying a bottle of soju. Stumbling back down the street, I twisted the cap off, throwing my head back. The clear liquid burned my throat. There was a storm of mixed emotions inside me, clawing its way out. I smashed the bottle against the side of a building. The air was cold and made my tears stick to my face.
My whole body was freezing since I was only wearing a large shirt and shorts. The last thing I remember was running before my mind quit recording what I saw through my eyes.

I ran a hand through my hair, pacing around the living room. Feelings of pain, fury, and sadness lingered in the small space. I couldn't believe that I acted that way towards (y/n). She's never done anything that's wronged me in any way, and is the most loyal and sweetest person I know, and I fucked it up.
Quickly, I got up from the couch and ran outside. I didn't see her, but had an idea of where she could be. Every time (y/n) was upset, she'd go to the park down the street. I ran as fast as I could over to the park, cold air stinging my lungs. (y/n) was lying in the middle of a patch of grass in a snow angel making position, staring up at the sky. I walked over to her. Tears dripped down as I fell to my knees beside her. "The stars are so pretty," she spoke quietly.
I didn't know what to say to her. "Some of them change color, making them twinkle," she said, putting a hand up to the sky. "When I was little, my grandma told me that when she dies, she's going to be the brightest star in the sky," she smiled, closing her eyes. She opened them and pointed.
"That star is the brightest. I'm certain that one is her. What do you think?" she asked. "I think that you're the most brightest and beautiful star I've ever seen," I sniffled, picking her up. The moonlight shined off of her tear stained face. "Where are we going?" she questioned, still staring at the stars. "Home."

I let the tub fill up with hot water and took (y/n)'s shirt and shorts off, setting her in there. I had lit candles since she said the light was bothering her eyes. "My head hurts," she mumbled. "I know," I replied, stripping down to my underwear and sitting on the opposite side of the tub. "My heart hurts." "I know," I whispered.
I let her legs rest on top of mine as I held her arm, running a clean, white cloth over her skin to clean the sweat and dirt. After about 10 minutes of silence, I had rubbed all smudges off of her skin. I leaned closer, and kissed her wrists. "You lied to me," (y/n) spoke. "What do you mean?" I asked quietly. "Before we started dating, you made a promise to me that you would never break my heart," she whispered. Her words made my chest tighten.
"I'm sorry."

After cleaning (y/n) up, I had her face away from me so I could get her into some fresh clothes. I helped her arms through the holes of one of my large white shirts, and legs through her underwear. No bra. "I feel sick," she mumbled, holding her head. I walked (y/n) over to the toilet where she collapsed and began throwing up clear liquid. Soju. I held her wet hair up so it wouldn't get in her face. She coughed, lifting her head. "Better?" I asked. No response. She got up to go brush her teeth, so I closed the lid and flushed. Once done, I went over to the drawers to get a brush.
I pulled (y/n) on to my lap and ran the brush through her hair. It went with ease. I found it fascinating how her hair didn't get tangled after what had happened. Her hair seemed so messy from the wind. When I was done, I slowly picked her up bridal style and walked downstairs. I set her on the couch, and made my way into the kitchen to make us a pizza. Setting the oven to the right temperature, I took the pizza out of the box and waited for the oven to preheat.
The oven beeped, meaning that it was ready, so I put in the pizza and went back over to the couch. (y/n) was curled up on her side, staring at whatever movie was playing. A soft pillow nuzzled up against her stomach. "I put a pizza in the oven for us," I said. She wouldn't speak. "(y/n), I'm sorry." "K," she mumbled.
"(y/n), look at me." She turned her head. "I didn't mean anything I said during that ordeal. You are not worn out, you are full of life despite all you've been through. You are not a waste of space and I do not regret every second I spent with you. Every second spent with you are the best moments I've experienced in my whole 19 years of living. I love you (y/n), and I'm sorry. Please believe me when I say that I am so, so sorry." Tears formed in the corners of my eyes and I put my head down, staring at the floor.
Two small, warm hands caressed the sides of my face, making me look up. "I believe you," she said and pressed her soft lips to mine. The taste of spearmint tingled my skin. "I love you," I breathed between kisses. "I love you too."
