Chap. 13: Suspects

-Jimin POV-

Jungkook: Man these meatballs are so soggy... ew.

Taehyung: Don't mind if I steal them then~

Jungkook: Whatever...

Jade: Here, have mine too.

Taehyung: Double! YES.

Jade faintly smiled and played with her food.

Hmm..

Jade seems normal, aside from the scratch on her cheek.

I noticed when Wendy walked inside the cafeteria, she glared at Jade, but Jade avoided her gaze.

The guys took notice and exchanged looks with me, I gave them the signal to meet me after school.

Taehyung: Does your little booboo hurt?

Jungkook: Booboo? Seriously? What are you, five?

Taehyung: I'm just asking a question. No need to scold me.

Jade: I'm fine guys... I wasn't careful.

"Or were you attacked?" I asked.

Jade: What? No. I told you already. I'm fine.

Jungkook: Where were you anyway?

Taehyung: Usually you wait for us by the entrance.

I looked at Jade and raised a brow.

She sighed, "I just felt a little sick-"

Taehyung: AHA! So you admit!

Jungkook: Calm down, Tae. It's nothing graphic, but are you ok Jade?

Jade: Better.

"I'm not buying this." I told her and crossed my arms.

She rolled her eyes.

Taehyung: You're telling the truth.. right Jade?

She nods.

Jungkook: Hm. As much as I'd like to dwell on this, I think I'll let it pass.

Taehyung: Same. Keke.

Jade smiled and looked at me.

I looked away unpleased.

She's obviously lying about something.

I know what I saw.

Wendy did something and I'm going to figure out what.

To think I liked her.

Ew.

Seems like the bad boy is back but this time, I'll be focusing on things I actually care about.

After lunch, Jungkook and I cut class in the laboratory.

I couldn't wait to start investigating.

"So... you think Wendy has something to do with Jade's scratch?" He asked.

"Yes. She did something. I overheard her." I informed.

"Where?"

"She came out of the bathroom with her friends. I know she did something. What if Jade is being blackmailed?" I assumed.

"Whoa ok hold up. Why would she be blackmailed? Jade has done nothing wrong." He said.

"You never know. We go to West High." I reminded, "Either Jade has something against her will that doesn't let her say anything, or Wendy is being a cold hearted bitch."
