Kate's p.o.v.
Recap:
When I finally reached him, I knew why I noticed him. Because it was Princeton, my favorite celebrity ever, standing there, smiling at me. And I had his ball...
-----------------
"Uhmmm." it managed to escape my lips before I could stop it. Not that I was capable of doing very much at the moment. The young singer was shirtless, with his swim trunks fully exposing his stomach. His curls were soaking wet, but still maintained their shape.
"Hola." he used his Spanish on me, and I swear my heart wanted to melt then and there.
"Hi." I managed out, surprised that I could even do that. He was looking at me, and hard. I'm not sure if it was good or bad, but I wanted it to stop.
"Ayoo Prince!" I looked over his shoulder to find Ray Ray walking towards us. The rest of the band quickly followed, and my heart went from almost not beating to beating 300 mph.
"What's taking so long?" Roc Royal said, peering over his friends' shoulder to look at me, then started smiling extra hard. Ray and Prodigy did the same, but their mouths flew open when they saw me.
"Uhmm." Princeton glanced back at them, then focused his attention on me again. I'm not sure if it was a good thing, but could it possibly mean they found me semi attractive?
"Here's your ball." I extended it out, but they made no movement to get it.
"Thanks." Princeton eventually grabbed it, and his hands brushed against mine as he retrieved it. My arm felt so weird and funny where he touched it, like tingles were flying around, but I quickly dismissed the thought. The heat probably managed to get to me, that was all, right?
"Sooo," Prodigy started, and I wondered if the next words to come from his mouth would be good or bad.
"What's yo name shawty?" Roc said, still eyeing me, but not caring about if I saw him or not.
"Kate." I squeaked, then tried to cover my face with my arms. I don't know if it was the pressure of meeting them, the heat, or something else, but I started sweat like crazy.
Not wanting them to have to see me all nasty and a mess, I attempted to get away from them.
Now many would call me crazy, and I would probably agree. Here I am with the opportunity to hang out with my favorite band ever, something millions of girls would die for, yet I'm the one trying to get away from them.
But in my defense, I bet millions of girls have normal parents who give them the world and don't abuse them. Yeah, I thought so.
"So" Ray snapped me out of my daydream, eyeing me carefully now as if I might fall apart. See, he already thinks I'm crazy. I wonder what the others are thinking.
"Yes?" I asked nervously, not knowing where to look. I didn't want to stare at them, even though I should be taking in their features like any normal girl. But then again, I established that I wasn't normal a long time ago. So I looked down at the sand instead.
"Do you wanna hang out with us?" Ray finished, then started smiling so hard it looked like he was trying to take his ears off. The others heard him, and their faces lit up at the thought, and they all turned to me, eyes waiting for an answer. Their eyes seemed to almost beg me to stay.
"Uhmm." I glanced back to where my friends were. They were playing and having fun, no where near concerned about me.
"Sure." I answered, and they all looked super glad I said yes. I sighed a breath of relief, then allowed Prince and Ray to each take one of my hands and lead me towards their spot on the beach, beyond caring about my friends, only caring about what lay in store for me to come.
