CHAPTER 3 – Jealous

Luke got up from his mattress, the alarm clock blaring. His arms were wrapped around Annabeth, who was lightly snoring. He check the time,

6:30 am

His eyes widened, realizing that he has to go to Olympian Music Productions studios at 7 o' clock. He stealthily retracted his arms around Annabeth and preceded running to the bathroom.

Taking a light shower, Luke thought about how this his job is going to work. He talked to the men working in Olympian studios and came to the negotiations that he had to prove that his musical ability exceeds. He wrote a song last night, while Annabeth was working in her Architecture firm.

He turned off the shower and quickly dressed up, wearing long-sleeved polo and skinny jeans. He combed his sandy blond hair and quickly took off, not before kissing the tired Annabeth. He grabbed his ukulele case near the door and ran off again, not before cursing for being a heavy sleeper.

Turning on the engine, Luke couldn't help but think about the man, Percy, whose mother was living in the same apartment complex as Annabeth and Luke's. Luke scowled and heard the car engine humming.

He stepped on the gas pedal and sped off.

When he finally arrived at the high-rise building, he ran inside, taking a twirl in the lobby and into the receptionist; who was currently typing something on her computer.

Luke cleared his throat, gaining the attention of the Receptionist. Immediately, the receptionist looked up and stood a little straighter.

"Can I help you?" The receptionist said, leaning a little to show her non-existent breasts.

"Yes, I'm looking for Vios Brunner." The receptionist nodded and typed in her computer, occasionally batting her eyelashes at Luke.

Finally, the receptionist looked up again, "He's at floor 18, just go to the corridor by the right. His name is right by the door." Luke nodded again as she suddenly slipped him a paper, which was filled with a bunch of numbers and a call me ;) below it.

Luke chuckled and ripped the paper, knowing he would never flirt.

He followed the receptionist's direction and was now outside of the door, a plaque with Vios Brunner written in it.

He took a deep breath and knocked.

"Come in." a voice of a man called. Luke took another shaky breath and opened the door

In the office, the man was sitting, writing something on a sheet of paper. The man looked up and smiled. His bushy eyebrows was paired with intense brown eyes, like he have seen anything. He also a scruffy beard, he was wearing a tweed jacket that smelled like coffee even when Luke is across from him. He radiated wisdom and was easy to be trusted.

"I-I'm Luke Castellan" Luke stuttered. He didn't mean to stutter, but he was actually nervous. In his very front is the key for his future.

Vios raised both of his eyebrows and gestured to the seat in front of him, "Sit, Luke."

Luke reluctantly sat down. Vios cracked a smile and rested head in his hand, "So, tell me. What do you want?"

Luke gulped and fanned himself using his collar, if Annabeth was here she would rest her hand in his; making him relaxed.

"Mr. Zervos told me that you'll record my performance." Vios nodded and stood up.

"Right this way, then."

Luke followed him to a door in the corner of the office. He gripped his ukulele case as he chanted a prayer in his mind. He entered room.

The room had a booth with a sound-proof wall and a microphone hanging above, in the window of the booth, the soundboard was placed. Vios was already sitting in front of the sound board and gestured to Luke to enter the booth.
