Chapter 4 - Dreams

Luke turned around, expecting to see someone there. Instead, he saw the empty space of their kitchen.

Luke shook his head, trying to clear his mind. Glancing at the clock, he tried to think positive.

2:45 AM

Yet Annabeth has yet to return. His mind sprouting suggestions that the Percy guy has his little finger wrapped around Annabeth. Luke took the Ukulele out of the case and started strumming and muttering things. 

Music was always his thing, how any instruments sounded melodic whenever he played it- and when the instruments he played started to make sense, he knew from this point on, his life will be surrounded by music. The goals of making music stuck to him throughout his life, despite the discouragement of her mother.

Mom-- again, the guilt inside of him rushed through him like a tsunami wave. His actions has caused the trust of his mother to fade. 

He stopped strumming the Ukulele.

With a frustrated sigh, he put down the Ukulele and took his phone from his pocket. He needs a song that reminds him of something bright in his life. 

He tapped shuffle, the AI spoke, "Now Playing, First Date by BLINK-182" He grinned. A perfect song.

This song reminds Luke the first ever date of Him and Annabeth, the awkward atmosphere that he had experienced when he accidentally hit her with his elbow. He started bobbing himself to the rhythm, the next thing he knew he was dancing like a kindergartner in the middle of the room at 2 AM 

"I never knew you could dance like that, Luke" A girl's voice said, startling Luke.

"HOLY MOTHER OF DILDOS" Luke shouted, tripping in the process. He looked up to see an amused Annabeth in front of him. She bursted out of laughter, which left Luke bewildered. He stood up quickly, dusting off his jeans. He liked to see Annabeth laugh that hard, then he remembered that he was supposed to be angry.

Crossing his arms, he said, "Where were you?" Annabeth's laugh faded as he looked at him, the fun atmosphere also fading. The awkward silence already deafening.

"Bad first day." She muttered, looking away from Luke. She sat down on their couch, looking really cute. Luke's anger already depleting.

 He sat down after her and stroked her hair.

"What happened" he said softly, looking at Annabeth with worry. Annabeth looked at look, hesitating before giving out.

Turns out the reason why she had a bad day because she met ex in her firm, who had abandoned her and slept with the her best friend, Azie when she was in highschool. Then an intern kid started flirting with her which made her really uncomfortable. Then she spilled coffee on her new boss, who was a total ass. Fortunately, she was given a second chance.

Luke's eyes narrowed, "Who the fuck was that intern kid. I'll smash his face with my fucking Ukulele" Swinging his Ukulele for emphasis.

Annabeth chuckled, "You look cute when you're angry." Holding down his Ukulele. Luke looked at her and stuck his tongue out. She stuck her tongue out in return.

(dude what)

"Let's just sleep" Luke decided. Annabeth nodded, and walked into the bathroom, changing into a more comfortable clothes. 

Luke, like a little child, jumped up and dived into the bed, following him was Annabeth who was wearing a loose tshirt and shorts.

Luke leaned in and kissed her forehead, "Night." He muttered, Annabeth hummed in return as both of them fell into deep slumber

"You're back" Dream Luke said, sitting in a bench he fed the pigeons with food. "Did you accept it yet?" 

"The hell are you talking about." Luke snapped, surprised that he shouted. Dream Luke shook his head, still tossing food to the pigeons. 

"She'll leave you like you left your mother"  Dream Luke said, slowly fading.

"What do you mean?" Luke replied. But he was no more.

He looked around, trying to find his Dream self. Instead he found something more terrifying.

Annabeth and Percy sitting in a couch, a little too close for his liking. He approached them, ready to confront the Percy kid.

Luke woke up, feeling like he was being shook. He opened his eyes to see his girlfriend. Eyes filled with concern as she look at Luke

"You had a nightmare." She softly said,  Luke looked away and gulped, a little uncomfortable because of his dream.

"Yeah Yeah" He bluntly said, walking towards the bathroom to get ready to go to the studios.

He quickly gathered himself and got ready.

As he got ready, he walked towards the door. Annabeth still looking at him.

"Bye" Luke said, without even glancing at her.

Anyway, here's chapter 4 (i think)
