*I changed the main characters name to Hadley, sorry for any confusion.*
The ride to school was spent with me swimming in anxiety. I never showed weakness, never. When someone finds your weakness they can take you down easily. I refuse to be taken down without resistance. So I kept my emotions firmly under wraps. Only letting few people see behind the wall I put up long ago.
I pulled into the parking lot a little too fast, attracting many peoples attention. I cursed then took off my helmet, running a hand through my hair to remove the helmet imprint. I ignored all the stares I was getting and walked into the office with confident strides. The office was old and dusty keeping with the usual "High school" theme. The secretary was there currently talking to a girl with flaming auburn locks. They both stiffened when I entered the room, huh, weird.
"Can I help you dear?" She seemed harmless and kind, so I gave her a smile. " Yes I'm new here." was all I had to say. "Oh! Yes you must be," she paused for a moment "Hadley, correct?" Her and the other girl both shared a look that I couldn't describe." Um, yes that's me, I could come back if you'd like." The secretary-Mrs. Jensen-looked up with a smile, which I returned. " No dear that's fine, here's your timetable, map of the school, locker combination, and other formal papers. Your first class is down the hall to the left, room 2A." She smiled again as I nodded.
The amount of stares I was getting was angering me slightly, 'Haven't they ever had a new student before?' I thought frustrated. I was so immersed in my thoughts that I hadn't watched where I was going and bumped into a hard chest. The persons arms shot out to steady me before I fell to the ground. "Sorry Mate, wasn't watching where I was going." I said with my usual British accent. I realized the halls were now deathly silent and frowned in confusion before looking into my saviors eyes.
They drew me in, held me captive in his stare. He had a strong stubbly jawline, rich dark brown hair that just fell in to his eyes. His eyes, they were dark brown, almost black and had little gold flecks in them. He was incredibly muscled. Jeez. I noticed that everyone was waiting to see what would happen next, which confused me, people never pay this much attention to newbies in my experience. I realized the guy had still not let go of me, and he had a crew of eight or so boys dressed differently, but with leather jackets. They were also very muscly and intimidating, but I knew how to handle myself. Never show fear, it's your biggest weakness. With that thought I walked away without a second glance back towards the buff dudes.
But no matter what I do I know I will still be able to feel those tingles he gave me when he was touching me, and I would never forget his face.
