After the whole incident in the cafeteria I decided it might be best for me to go home, so I got on my bike and started to ride until I came across a park. I saw a little girl and what I assumed to be her father "Look Daddy, a birdy!" he looked at the little girl and smiled " It's a very beautiful bird sweet heart, let's go get ice cream." " YAY!" the little girl screamed looking like she was about to shit herself in excitement.

I didn't realize I was crying until I felt something wet on my cheek, I quickly wiped it away. I hated crying for no reason, but I couldn't help it this time. All I've ever wanted in life was to have a dad who cared about me, who actually wanted me in his life. Instead I was stuck with a alcoholic father who hates me and hurts me, aren't I blessed. I wouldn't change anything though, because even though he had done those things to me, it made me a stronger, wiser person. I snapped out of my trance and realized I was now in a park of some sorts........Summertime Park I think it was called.

I went over and sat on the abandoned swings and thought about all the things that went wrong in my life

Flashback

SMACK! SMACK! SMACK!

I didn't raise my arms to protect myself, there was no point anyway, I would still be injured.

"You little whore! I work all day for you to have a roof over your head and this is how you repay me?!"

KICK! PUNCH! STOMP!

"Next time my meat better be fully cooked," my Father growled menacingly and left.

As always I said nothing, just picked myself up off the floor, now fully aware of all my injuries, and went to the bathroom that adjoined my room. I jumped in the shower to wash away all the blood and finally let the tears fall.

Be strong Hadley, be strong.

End of Flashback

I never cried anywhere else but the shower where no one can hear me, and the water can wash away the evidence.

It wasn't until a few months that my Mom finally figured out what was happening and packed our bags and left. I had never felt so relieved and tired in my whole life.

I looked up to realize that it was getting darker now. Jeez, I must've been here for a few hours then.

*SIGH*

I better get home before Mom starts a search party. I walked back to my bike and got on it riding all the way back home to my worried Mother.

Hopefully tomorrow will be better then today.
