Two days and several movies later we were back with Se Jun. Claudia had indeed turned up and was going to be meeting with him in two hours. His seamstress and tailor team had been working on a few more of my more casual designs as Se Jun thought I'd be able to launch the range officially within a few months after Fashion Week.
He had surprised me with the models he had picked specifically for me. There were Koreans, mixed Koreans, a few black girls that were holidaying from England. Not only were they more diverse than I was expecting but their sizes and heights were fairly varied as well.
This was shaping up to be pretty good. Seeing everything come together was great. We talked through potential manufacturers and a marketing strategy, agreeing to start local before hitting the usual-suspect places. Se Jun kept dropping hints that I might need to consider moving as it would be easier for me to be involved locally instead of constantly travelling.
I thanked him once again and let him know I had already been contemplating moving for work and for love, so it wouldn't be a problem at all. He told me he had noticed I seemed brighter and had seen the new accessories I had been working on with one of the other designers he worked with and could see that love in the designs.
He also let me know the security guard had been fired and arrested for sexual harassment as another girl had been in the same day I complained while he was picking up the samples and made a complaint too. All the clubs he frequented both off duty and on as security had been alerted and were checking with their patrons to find out if he was a serial offender or not as he'd need locking up of he was.
"You're such a trouble maker you know? You've been here less than a week and got someone fired already, plus I've never seen this many non-Korean models in one go. I can tell you're going to make waves over here before your two weeks is up. Anything else you plan on disrupting?" Kookie looked proud that I had changed not only the usual lineup at fashion week but helped nail a sex pest with very little effort.
I pointed out that the other girl complaining would probably have gotten him fired but he wasn't so sure. Cases like this often get brushed under the carpet unless the right person is involved. Me being on my way to becoming an up and coming designer to Korea had been a bigger part than I realised, the potential for me to tarnish Se Jun's reputation if he hadn't handled it properly was too real.
