Wait a second, let me catch my breath.

Remind me how it feels to hear your voice.

Your lips are movin' and I can't hear a thing.

Living life as if we had a choice.

You ran through the snow covered alleyways, searching for your beloved. Through the thick blankets of white, you deemed it impossible to find him. Your sunshine. The love of your life. You kept running through the endless road of corpses and crimson blood, hoping for a miracle, hoping your sun would be alright.

Through the alleyway of corpses, you continued running, through the blankets of crimson and white. Your legs ached but the hope of finding him kept you going. You slipped on the pool of blood, but you picked yourself up and kept running. You knew that even if there was only the slimmest of chances of you finding him, that you would succeed.

You were on the verge of losing hope, when you heard some grunts. You ran towards the sound, your body suddenly filled with a new kind of energy. You turned another corner, and you didn't know how to react, should you cry with happiness, or terror? The scene before you, of your sun, curled up on the ground with a large crimson red gash across his abdomen.

"H-Hide?"

He looked up to you, mustering a smile you knew to be fake.

Remember me, no time cannot erase.

I can hear your whispers in my mind.

I'd become what you cannot embrace.

Our memory will be my lullaby.

"Hello, (y/n)..." he choked out, coughing up blood. "Hide!" You frantically screeched running towards his wounded, slumped over figure. "I think I... messed up... just a little... out there..." he muttered, his head resting in your lap.

Your salty tears falling upon his face, he reached up a weak hand to wipe them away. "(Y/n), before I go..." he began, "No! Don't leave me! Hide I can't live without you, don't do this to me!" You cried. "Please do one last thing for me," You wiped away the tears, nodding, "anything."

"Sing me to sleep."

You looked at him, confused by this strange request.

"To the eternal sleep, I want your voice... to be the last thing I hear..."

Just those words made more tears well up. But you nodded, granting his request. You began to sing, a lullaby of sorts.

You found it hard since you were struggling to stop yourself from melting into a puddle of salty tears, but you kept going.

You kept singing for him, til his cold hand, fell limp in yours and his eyelids closed. After that, your tough act, shattered to tiny pieces. You broke down crying, hugging his limp, cold corpse.

"Hide... my sunshine... You've left me alone in the darkness of night..."
