Jax and I walk by the oceanside. We have been spending a lot of time together lately and I love it and I love him. I just need to tell him the truth. When you love someone that's what you're supposed to do right? Be honest. Maybe it isn't the time to tell him yet.

"Destiny?" Jax calls out for me.

I look up from the sand and into his deep brown eyes.

"What's going on in that pretty little head of yours?" his Australian accent resonates in my ears.

Should I tell him? I'm scared. I've been keeping this secret in for six months. I can sense something bad is going to happen.

Jax gets closer to me and holds onto my waist.

"What's wrong? You seem sad." he says worried.

I breathe in. "Because I am." my voice comes out as a squeak. Wait, why is my voice squeaky? And why am I eye level to Jax sneakers?

I see his hand reach down for me and scoop me up. Jax eyes are bewildered as he turns me around in his hands.

I sniff and bite my tiny nails. Oh, no. I turned right in front of him. I hate when my emotions affect my powers.

"What are you?" Jax examines me.

"I'm a shapeshifter." I whimper.

"So you turn into a tiny chipmunk?"

"I've been trying to tell you for a long time now, Jax." I admit to him.

"We have been dating for nine months now, and now you want to tell me?" he scoffs at me. "How can you keep this from me?"

I want to cry. "How do you tell your boyfriend that you change into different things and it can happen at any moment? It isn't that easy for me."

"Change back, please. I don't want people thinking I'm talking to a chipmunk." he pleads with me.

I change back and he is holding my waist. He backs away from me. "Destiny..."

"I know, but we can work through this. This is the first time I changed in front of you." I tell him honestly.

"This is dangerous..." he sighs.

"We can go through anything. Remember when you said we are invincible and can go through hell and back with each other?" I try to reach for him.

He steps back and crosses his arms over his chest. "I don't know about this. This is way different."

I bite my lip to stop the urge from crying. "What are you saying, Jax?"

"I think we should take a break." Jax eyes lift up to mine.

A few tears come down my cheeks but I wipe them before he sees. "What happened to forever?" I say sadly. I'm too scared to hear his answer so I walk away from him and the situation.

Its been one month til I saw him again. I saw Jax at the Seven and I wasn't ready to see his face again.

He notices my face as he is waiting for his pizza.

"Can I have one slice of pepperoni?" I tell the guy.

He nods and does my order.

I can sense Jax is still looking at me. I look over to him and I see something hidden behind his eyes, possibly regret?

"Here you go. That will be $1.50." the guy behind the counter tells me.

I go through my purse and get my wallet out.

"I got it. Here you go, man." Jax hands the guy the money.

I grab my pizza and give Jax a small smile and leave The Seven.

"Destiny!" He yells out for me. I don't stop walking, I keep going. I don't want to talk to him.

He turns me around. "Yes? What do you want? Do you want me to thank you for the pizza?" I ask him.

"Destiny...n--" I interrupt him before he can say another word.

"Then why are you here?"

"I need to tell you something. It's really important." Jax says calmly.

I cross my arms over my chest and tell him to go on.

He breathes in deeply and turns into a tiny cute chipmunk.

I gasp in surprise. "What? How long have you been?"

"For a long time. I hid something from you too." He squeaks.

"Change back." I tell him.

He changes back. "Why tell me now? That makes no sense. You broke up with me because I kept a secret from you but you have the same secret?" I back away from him.

"I know. I was stupid. I was scared, Destiny. Please forgive me. I love you too much to throw this all away." Jax pleads with me.

"You threw us away a month ago, Jax."

"No. I never stopped thinking about you and I know I'm not good with timing but please be mine again?"

I don't know what to say. Of course I want to and I do love him.

"Fine. But don't ever do that again. I don't think I can handle it." As soon as I said that he wrapped his arms around me and held me close against him.

"I won't." He tilts my head up and kisses me softly upon my lips. "Because I know I can't handle being away from these lips for a month."

I laugh and hit him on his leg.

He laughs. "So we starting off again with abuse? Not a good combo with that sexy face." His hand brushes against my cheek.

"If you do me wrong, maybe it will be abuse." I smile at him and kiss him.

"I love you." He says.

"And I love you." We kiss passionately.
