Family Trip

The next morning they woke up bright and early and hit the road.

Almost eight hours later, they pulled up to a nice flat brick house with two cars in the driveway.

She saw two older women sitting on the front porch and became nervous.

She didn't know what she was walking into. She prayed and hoped they weren't anything like Dianna when she first met her, rude.

X got Zain out and she got Tamia out her car seat.

"Hey grandma," X said walking up on the porch.

The woman got up from her seat smiling hard; it was obvious she was happy to see him. "Hey baby," she said hugging him.

"It so good to see you. You just don't come see me anymore," she said almost in tears looking him over before grabbing him hugging him again.

"I'm sorry grandma," he said smiling.

"Hey Mrs. Sharon," he said hugging the other older lady and she hugged him back.

"And who is this handsome man looking just like you?" she asked looking at Zain.

"I'm Zain," Zain said causing them to laugh. He was very advanced for a 2 year old.

"This is my son grandma," X said as she grabbed him out his arms.

"I can tell he looks just like you and Alexander. And look at those eyes," she said kissing Zain on the cheek.

The whole time Tami stood back admiring the old woman's beauty. She was breathtaking. She had her curly grey hair pulled up in a bun and her skin was flawless.

However, what had Tami in a daze were those big grey eyes, the same one her daughter had.

Tami couldn't believe what she was seeing. She looked down at her daughter then looked back at the older woman and saw the resemblance.

"And this is the love of my life... Tami," X said smiling hugging Tami.

"That's my mama," Zain said pointing to her.

"Well hello the love of my grandson life and my great-grandson mama," she said hugging
Tami with her free hand.

"Is this my great-granddaughter also?" she asked with a smile.

"Yes ma'am." She gave Tamia to her and you could see they were going to bond perfectly.

"What's up triple OG?" X asked walking over to his dad as they slapped hands embracing each other.

"What's up my nigga?" his dad said looking X over.

Tami stood back smiling loving the sight she was seeing. X seem to be so happy to see his dad. His dad was taller than him, standing at 6'7 weighting about 270 full of muscles, the same complexion as X, he sported a curly fro that was taped up nice on the sides and a thin mustache and those same damn green eyes as Xavier and Zain.

After their long hug, X introduced his dad to Zain as well as Tami and Tamia and his dad accepted them with open arms.

They all went inside the house and talked for hours. They asked everything from the time the met and how they are now.

They spent the whole weekend at Xavier's grandma house and she and Tamia fell in love with one another.

They weekend had flew by and it was Sunday and time for them to head out.

"Well I enjoyed meeting you Grandma Carrie." She had insisted on Tami calling her Grandma Carrie.

"I enjoyed you too baby," she said hugging Tami.

She then turned to Alexander. "I enjoyed you too Daddy Alex," she hugged him also. She really did enjoy meeting him.

"I enjoyed you too gorgeous," he said hugging her back.

"And keep this knucklehead nigga out of trouble," he said.

"I'll try," she said as she got in the car.

X hugged his grandma and promised her he wouldn't let it be years before she sees him again before turning to his dad.

"Man, you have to come visit me."

"Yeah you know I'm down. Just let me know when," Alexander said.

"I need to come back to claim my throne anyways," he said laughing.

"You can. I'm done with that shit. I have a son to raise," Ronny let him know as they hit hands.

"You just make sure you are careful," his dad said.

"Fo' sho," X said before sliding in the truck.

"Tell Xion I said what's up. And don't forget to tell yo mama what I said," he said smiling.

X shook his head. "Yeah I got you pops," he said before backing out the driveway and heading home.
