The next two weeks seemed to fly by. Between all of my class work and running to Hogsmeade to buy Christmas presents and my extra lessons with Malfoy, I was quite busy.

Speaking of Malfoy, we were actually getting along. After the night of Slughorn's Christmas party, something changed between us. We seemed to have stopped being absolute enemies, and became friends. Well, sort of.

We still didn't talk outside of our late night lessons, but I felt as though I had made a new friend. We'd crack jokes and chat with each other, and I no longer wanted to throw myself off the Astronomy Tower while in his presence. I'd call that an improvement.

"Harry, you must get rid of it!" I heard Hermoine scold from across the common room.

"I'm keeping it, Hermoine. I've already told you." Harry sighed.

I glanced up from my Defence Against the Dark Arts book to see the two friends glaring at each other, and poor Ron sitting on the floor between them. He caught my eye, and rolled his eyes at his friends. I let out a quiet giggle, and hurried to finish the essay I was working on.

After writing the last word, I quickly packed up all my supplies and ran upstairs to put my things away, before exiting the Gryffindor common room and heading for the empty classroom on the third floor. It was time for another lesson with Malfoy.

"You've improved a lot, you know." Malfoy suddenly blurted out while I was packing my bag.

"Really?" I asked, looking up from my Advanced Potion Making book.

"Yeah, I'm serious. Soon you won't even need my help anymore. At this rate, we'll only have a few more tutorials and then you won't need me anymore." He shrugged nonchalantly, leaning against the table beside me. At the mention of that, I felt a frown begin to form on my face, and my heart seemed to drop down into my stomach.

"What?" He asked, seeming to see right through me.

"I'm gonna miss this. You're not so bad after all, Draco." I smiled sadly, closing my bag and slinging it over my left shoulder.

"Oh come on, who would miss an asshole Slytherin like me?" Malfoy chuckled, but part of me knew that he was being serious.

"You're not an asshole Draco." I sighed, staring at the beautiful blonde boy in front of me.

"I'm not a good person, Ivy. Trust me." He frowned, shoving his hands into his pockets.

"You're wrong. You act all tough and cold and mean, but I know you Draco, the real you. You're a good person inside, whether you want to believe it or not. You're not a bad person. You're kind, caring, compassionate, funny, and incredibly smart." I argued, setting my bag on the table and taking several steps toward him.

"You think you know me Ivy, but you don't." Malfoy sighed, refusing to meet my eye.

"I do Draco, I do know you! And I know that you're not a bad person-" My shouting was suddenly cut off by Draco's warm lips on mine as he closed the distance between us.

For several moments I was stunned, unable to comprehend what was happening. But just as he started to pull away, I began to kiss him back with a hot, frenzied hunger that took over all of my senses. My frantic fingers wound themselves in his platinum blonde hair as he pinned me against the wall and held my waist firmly with one hand and cupped my face with the other.

I couldn't process a single thought; my mind was blocked by the feeling of Draco's soft lips as they explored mine, and the heat that pulsed under my skin where his fingers made contact.

After what felt like forever, we finally pulled away, both breathing hard as our blood pumped furiously through our veins.

I opened my eyes to see Draco's warm grey eyes fluttering open, and an involuntary smile began to stretch across my face.

"I could definitely get used to that." He chuckled, and I blushed under his adoring gaze.

"I-uh, I should probably get back. The others will wonder where I am." I stuttered, still feeling breathless from the amazing kiss we had just shared.

"Of course. I'll see you later then?" He asked, a slight tone of disappointment in his voice.

"Definitely. Goodnight, Draco." I smiled up at him.

"Goodnight."

And with that, I rushed back to Gryffindor Tower with a racing heart and the taste of a beautiful boy on my lips.
