Grace closed her eyes and focused. It was getting late.

"What are you doing?" Klaus asked from the doorway. He had been watching her for awhile. He could see she was determined to do something. She opened her eyes and rushed to him. She embraced him. She let go and put her lips to his. "We need to fight more often if this happens," Klaus smirked and she rolled her eyes.

"I'm glad your back," she kissed him again. "I'm trying to help Rebekah find the white oak. I'm new to this magic stuff, but with practice I think I can do it." He smiled at the determined look in her eye.

Klaus remembered the days following her death. How he grieved.

Klaus had been on the deep end for weeks following her death. After Grace died he couldn't stand the guilt. He blamed himself for it all.

"Klaus," Elijah said trying to get his attention. Klaus was sucking a woman dry. Bodies were piling up in his room. "Klaus!" Elijah yelled and he ripped Klaus from the girl.

"Really brother?" Klaus said irritated. He just wanted it all to stop. Her face kept coming up in his head and it was driving him crazy. She was gone. Now she was just someone he used to know. He needed to move on, but he didn't know how to.

"You need to stop this madness. I've had enough and so has Rebekah. You have a young boy in this home looking up to you like a father. You have her brother Klaus. What would she think?" Klaus gulped at the thought of her. He didn't want to think about it. Everywhere he looked reminded him of her. All he wanted to do was kill.

"It doesn't matter. She's dead," he hissed leaving the room. He pushed everyone away that wasn't her. In that moment, she was what he needed. She was his remedy, but she was gone.

"Niklaus!" Elijah yelled. "I get it. It's hard to say goodbye. Especially when you don't want to, but you have to do it," Klaus turned around angrily. "For the boy," Elijah begged and Klaus's face fell.  He hadn't even thought about the boy once since she died. He would raise Marcel like his own. For her.

Present

"I want to show you something," Grace said sitting down excited. He sat across from her. She closed her eyes. As she did, he admired her features. She focused her emotions on him. He was her strongest point. She suddenly opened her eyes with a smile. "Hurry," she grabbed his hand and led him outside.

"What?" He laughed. He looked out to see what could've been hundreds of butterflies. A smile spread across Grace's face, and he looked around bewildered. "How?"

"Come on," she ran through them and he followed. They flew around them and she laughed. She put her arms around his neck. They were surrounded by butterflies. They both looked up admiring them. "Isn't it lovely?"

"Lovely indeed," he said moving her hair from her face. He looked back up at the butterflies surrounding them. Their bright colors contrasting with the blue sky.

"I was never anyone special in New Orleans," Grace said remembering the days she fist arrived and how she was treated. "I was my father's daughter only. Nothing more," The butterflies started to disperse. "I wanted you to think I was special."

As they all left they looked at one another. A single butterfly landed on Grace's nose. One landed on Klaus's shirt. They both put their pointer fingers out to catch the butterflies that landed on the other. The butterflies landed on them. They looked at one another smiling happily. Grace leaned in for a kiss. As they kissed, the butterflies flew off to join their friends.

"How'd you do that?" Klaus asked her amazed. He had never experienced anything like it in his hundred of years.

"You," she admitted. He furrowed his eyebrows confused. "My magic is partly influenced by my emotions. All of mine seem to focus on you," she explained with wide eyes.

"How adorable," Rebekah spoke up approaching them. "But I have even better news. The wood is gone," Rebekah smirked. Finn and a red head walked behind her holding onto each other.

"Sage," Klaus laughed. Rebekah smirked proud of herself. Sage was Finn's weak spot.

"It's all gone. Burnt to the ground," Rebekah said bragging."Next, original witch bitch," Rebekah said irritated at just the thought. Finn and Sage went inside not letting go of each other.

They all went inside to celebrate their victory for the day, or rather Rebekah's victory. Rebekah taught Grace how to use the rest of the electronics while Grace ate more ice cream. She enjoyed the TV the most. Grace sat with Klaus on the couch, while Rebekah sat on the floor with another carton of ice cream. They watched the notebook. Usually Klaus found movies like these stupid, but now they were starting to make sense. Looking at the girl laying on his lap, it all made sense. She looked up at him.

"Is everything okay?" She asked.

"Everything is perfect," he smiled and they watched the notebook while eating ice cream.
