Klaus shot up from the floor. He gasped for air. The memories of the fire flashed through his head. He was on edge and Bonnie could tell. The sun crept in.
Bonnie approached him with a mirror. He looked to see he was in Tyler's body. It was exactly as planned. He was shocked that she actually went through with it. "Nicely done, little witch," he smirked.
"Can we just go on with the rest of the plan?" Bonnie said annoyed. She hated this man, yet she saved his life. She just had to keep reminding herself it was for her friends. Klaus smiled as his coffin was rolled in by a young girl just in time.He had compelled her before hand. "What is this?" Bonnie said with furrowed brows. This was definitely not part of the plan.
"Change of plans," Klaus said approaching his burnt body. He looked it over. "I want you to put me back in my own body." It was so like Klaus. Of course he would do this to her.
"That wasn't the plan. You promised Tyler you would leave his body as soon as possible," Bonnie said getting impatient with the original.
"Do it, or I rip out your tongue along with the rest of your friends," Klaus said rather calmly. He was in no mood for bickering. He just wanted to get it all over with.
"Fine," Bonnie said with clenched fist. She had to restrain herself. She was ready to kill him right then and there. He was testing her limits. She was halfway out of the cave when Klaus's voice stopped her.
"Bonnie," Klaus started. "Can you bring Grace please? She should know I'm okay," Klaus said worried about her. She couldn't have been doing well. Bonnie noticed a sudden change in Klaus. He wasn't angry or demanding. Just her name had an effect on him.
"Sure," Bonnie said leaving the cave.
Bonnie went straight to the Salvatore home. Damon was going to help get Elena out of this. She couldn't let her best friend be a vampire. Bonnie couldn't lose her, too. Bonnie went into the boarding home to see Damon staring into the fire holding a bourbon.
"So, what's the plan?" Damon said seeming untouched by the whole mess. Damon was angry. He wanted to kill Matt more than anything. If it weren't for him, Elena would be alive and human.
"I don't know, but we can find something," Bonnie said with hope. It would take a lot of power to make Elena human again. Making a vampire human was unheard of. She would need some help. "Do you know where Grace is? She might be able to help."
"About that," Damon said pouring what was left in his cup into the fire. "She's sleeping."
"Sleeping?" Bonnie asked confused. Damon stood up and led her to a room. In the bed, lay Grace unconscious. "What's wrong with her?"
"I don't know. She's alive alright," Damon looked her over curiously. "We have other things to worry about." Elena was their priority. Then, this vampire hunt the town council had started up. Rick definitely left his mark on the council. He had identified all known vampires in Mystic Falls to the city council.
...................................................
"What?" Klaus said standing up angrily. "What do you mean asleep?"
"Unconscious," Bonnie tried to explain, but she didn't really know what it was.
"Where is she?"
"Damon has her," and Klaus rolled his eyes.
"I need to go find her," Klaus said leaving the cave.
"Klaus, you can't. The council will kill you," Bonnie said worriedly. She couldn't have Tyler dying because of Klaus's recklessness. Also, if he died everyone else would to. "Give me a few minutes." Klaus was stronger in his own body. He agreed.
Grace stood up. She was dreaming. Again. That was when she saw her.
"Davina!" A man's voice yelled at the young girl and Grace furrowed her eyebrows trying to see. She began to run closer when Davina made eye contact with her.
"No!" Davina yelled and disappeared.
"Grace," Bertha's aged voice said from behind her. Grace turned confused. "You need to find her."
"Who is she?" Grace asked confused.
"You're dying Grace." Grace was not asking the right questions. The ancestors needed Grace back in New Orleans. They were becoming angry at Grace. "The ancestors are going to punish you unless you go to New Orleans. Find Marcel."
Grace'e eyes fluttered open at the words. She sat up as she took in the familiar room. She was at the Salvatore's. Grace began to panic as the fragments of her dream began to settle in. The fear radiating from Davina. She was so young. Bertha's warning. Grace was dying. As the realization settled in a cold chill went down Grace's spine. Grace sat up to the side of the bed weakly, her feet taking in the cold making her shiver even more. Fog filled her thoughts. All she could hear was Bertha's voice. Go to New Orleans.
"Nice of you to join the land of the living," Damon said in disbelief at the doorway. Grace looked up at him weakly and he furrowed his eyebrows worriedly. Something was wrong.
"Where's Klaus?" Grace immediately asked. Damon was alive, which meant Klaus was okay. As cold as Grace felt, warmth filled her heart at the thought of being able to see the love of her life once more.
"He's in..." Damon started. "Kind of a complicated situation. He's not really himself."
"I need to see him," Grace sat back down weakly.
"That's going to be difficult right now," Damon said looking her over. "What's happening?"
"I think I'm dying," Grace said looking down in realization. Damon's face dropped, but before he could say anything Stefan rushed into the home with Elena.
"I'll be back," Damon said with a sigh. It didn't take long for Elena to rush in.
"Grace," Elena said worriedly. "Long time no see." So much had happened. It felt like a decade ago that they were dress shopping together. Now, Elena was a vampire.
"Are you okay?" Grace looked up at her sympathetically. Elena shrugged. She was okay as she could be.
"Probably a long shot," Elena sat on the bed with Grace. "But do you know how to bring the dead back to life?"
"Funny enough," Grace chuckled. "I was someone who was dead and brought back to life," Elena tilted her head curiously. "Nothing's impossible."
"Can you help me?" Elena said pleadingly.
In all honesty, Grace didn't know if she could. Even if she could figure out a way, she didn't know if she had the strength. As powerful as Grace was, she was inexperienced and had minimal knowledge on what her magic was actually capable of. As far as she knew, there was always a way, but Grace did not where to even start. Elena's expression fell as she noticed Grace's change in demeanor. "I can try, but," Grace began. She didn't want to get Elena's hopes up.
"Where is she?" Grace's muscles relaxed at the sound of his voice. He made his way to the room and she locked eyes with him.
"Klaus," Tears began to well up in her eyes as she remembered the last time she had seen him. She thought he was gone. He locked eyes with her, and then scanned the room to see Stefan, Damon, and Elena. Before anyone could make a move, he took her away.
