Grace could not sleep that night. They were so close to being rid of Esther. She needed to undo the spell she had put on them, linking them together. She snuck out of bed that night be careful not to wake Klaus. She went into their library and found the old spellbooks. She skimmed through them hastingly trying to find anything that could help her undo the spell.

"What are you doing awake?" Klaus said at the doorway. It did not take long for him to realize she had snuck away.

"I can't sleep knowing that your lives are at stake," Grace said continuing to skim through the books. She looked up to see him in his boxers. "You're distracting me," she said smiling and looking back down at her books. He smirked.

"I'll get you something to drink," he left and she continued.

"Grace!" Rebekah yelled. Grace looked up to see Rebekah coming downstairs. "I need your help!"

"What's going on?" Grace asked worried. Why was everyone awake?

"I'm sorry. This is important. I promise," Rebekah closed the door.

"What is it?" Grace asked concerned.

"I like this boy," she started to explain and Grace smiled relieved. "He's super cute and doesn't think I'm a total bitch, but I don't know what to do. He doesn't trust me. I just need some help," Rebekah said desperately. Grace was the only person she could go to about stuff like this. She was like a sister. "I can't get him out of my head. Everything is just a reminder of the situation," Rebekah said frustrated with her feelings.

"Just tell him how you feel, Rebekah," Grace advised. "You'll get nowhere if you don't."

"But I'm scared," Rebekah admitted.

"You're Rebekah Mikaelson. Any boy that isn't serving you at hand and feet doesn't deserve you," Grace shrugged. Rebekah smiled and fixed her posture.

"You're right," she said leaving confidently. Grace went back to her books when she saw something that could be of use. She closed her eyes and focused. She needed to get to that certain place in her mind.

"I brought you some tea," Klaus walked in with a platter, and Grace opened her eyes. He held out the platter and there were flowers, and some tea cups for them both.

"Thank you," she looked at the platter fondly.

"Are you alright?" He asked. It wasn't like her to stay awake like this.

"I just need to figure this out," she said with a sigh. "I need to focus." She couldn't help, but feel the pressure. Her family was at stake.

"How about this? I have some business in Mystic Falls tomorrow. You will have the morning to yourself." Grace agreed. She needed to be free of distractions to figure this out. She was growing frustrated with herself.

The next morning Klaus left promising to be back within the next hour. She let out a deep breath, and went to the room. Grace performed the spell she had seen in her book. She focused until she got into that place in her mind. She grew to love it. She loved her magic. It triggered things in her she didn't even know was there.

Grace traveled to that same place she had been trapped in for hundreds of years. She looked around at the familiar flowers and trees. Then, there she was.

"Bertha," Grace smiled relieved. It worked.

"Grace," Bertha replied proud that Grace had figured out how to communicate with her. "We don't have much time." Bertha explained to Grace the steps to undo what Esther had done. Once finished, Bertha quickly held Grace in a hug and Grace shot up back to reality. She knew how to save them.
