The second the bell rang; I bolted. There was no way I was going to let my awkwardness screw this chance up. Sure I had made it through the class, but not without an extreme feeling of paranoia that there was something wrong with the back of my head. The boy had been in the class. Sydney had told me about him, but i didnt pay attention to her words, but rather his jawline and muscles. That was by far more entertaining. The teacher gave us a class list and then let us talk the rest of the period, which was nice. I turned and conversed with Sydney for some time, and glanced in my peripheral vision every so often at the kid. I learned his name was Aaron from roll. His voice was deep and raspy, aka incredibly sexy. It melted like caramel into my ears.

I sighed in disappointment in the way Sydney had chosen to dress. I loved her to death, and she was incredibly smart considering she was my age and in this AP class, but she dressed like she was ready to give anyone that passed by a quickie. I always wondered how boys found people like her attractive. I had never even had a legitimate relationship let alone 'played' the entire basketball team as a rebound. I loved her to death, but she needed some serious help. Her eyeliner was starting to seep into her morals,

Once she looked over and started intensely flirting with the guy In front of her right as I was talking, I sighed deeply and looked forward. I took notice as she pushed her boobs up farther and farther with every flirty word and rolled my eyes.

The boy looked like he was going to pop a nut any second. What the hell? What was attractive in that?

I flicked my pencil back and forth between my fingers and followed the second hand on the clock like it would devour me. It seemed to moving so slow, and between Sydney’s fake as hell giggly laughter and the boys’ next to me burping contest, I wanted to gag. I couldn’t sit still I was so anxious to get out of this frickin class. I shifted uncomfortably about ten times before the bell finally rang and I bolted to my next class.

I sat down nervously in the back of the class, next to a window. Whenever possible, take a window seat. It is what will keep you sane in a room full of insanity. I was caught deeply in thought when a familiar deep and raspy voice floated to my ears.

“Well,” he cleared his throat, “What a coincidence,” He stated with a wink at the end. He sat down in the seat next to me and lounged in his chair, checking his phone. He then looked up at me, expecting a response. I was just about to speak when the bell saved me. The teacher certainly asserted his dominance by snoozing in his chair, mouth gaped open and all. I giggled and rolled my eyes back to the window. The view was wonderful. The classroom was located on highest spot in the school, totally isolated and with a view of the entire Sin City. When you wave away the slot machines and strippers, it was actually quite a beautiful city. But then you think of the people, and you turn away in disgust.

Apparently, Aaron wasn’t going to take my awkward nod for an answer, and he slid into the chair in front of me, his head resting on his folded arms. There was something insanely badass about him and I wasn’t going to lie – it was attractive as hell.

"What's with you? I thought I was being pretty friendly here," he began in an entirely too sleepy voice.

"Oh you were, I just don't know you. And, as you might have guessed, I'm not a very social person. So, yes hello Aaron. What a shocker to see you here." my words dripped with false enthusiasm. The entire statement was so bold, it shocked me a  I said it. I gazed back out the window.

I could see him studying me out of the corner of my eye, and I shifted uncomfortably. He seemed to be raking over what words of comfort he could utter, but apparently he had  nothing, for he sat back down gently in his seat, hands folded at the desk.
