BLUE UMBRELLA

       Jimin let out a sigh as he realized that the rain is falling. He spreads the yellow umbrella and starts walking under it. As he arrived at the cross road area,he let out another sigh. Everything reminds him of Jeongguk. Even after didn’t see him for a week,he still can’t get over it.
He still remembers the scent of Jeongguk’s perfume. He still remembers the black suit that Jeongguk always wore on Friday. Everything is still clear on his mind and it really drives him insane.

       And it’s getting worse when everything remind him of Jeongguk. The city,the road,the cafe,the name tag,the rain,and the umbrella that he’s holding right now. The yellow umbrella.
But it was Jimin’s guilty pleasure. He missed Jeongguk so much to the point it didn’t matter when he got hurt as he remembered Jeongguk.  But he never calls Jeongguk. And he never picks up the calls from Jeongguk. He somehow wants to move on,but he doesn’t know how to.

      Jimin  looks over beside him. He secretly wishes a tall man with dark hair will be standing there,being soaked. But the spot he’s looking at is empty. The light turns into red. Jimin crosses the road. He wishes leaving behind his memories with jeongguk was as easy as crossing the road. But it turns out crossing the road was also not easy when he keeps looking back at the spot where Jeongguk used to stand on.

       Jimin and Yoongi are having a lunch together again after awhile. Jimin is being quiet and Yoongi is even quieter. But Yoongi soon starts the conversation
“So,you’re not doing the diet anymore?” Yoongi looks at Jimin who’s eating his fried chicken.
“Haha. So funny. Haha.” Jimin gives Yoongi a sarcastic comment.
“I know.”
It is all quiet again.
“He’ll get married next week.” Jimin breaks the silence
“You still can’t get over him?” There’s a strange tone on Yoongi’s question. A tone that Jimin couldn’t figure out
“You know,hyung? What you said was true. I am the one who gets hurt,not him.” Jimin drinks the cold water “If I told him earlier that I like him,would anything change?”
“That’s why we shall never hide how we feel.”
Jimin smiles bitterly and nods. “Hyung,do you have anything to tell me?”
Yoongi stops eating. He slowly nods.
“What is it?” Jimin looks Yoongi into the eyes and Yoongi does the same
“I love You.”

There was a something like three minutes of silence before Jimin gives a sarcastic look.
“Wow,you’re really a bad bestfriend. Your friend is broken heart right now and you still make fun of him.” Jimin pretends to hit Yoongi’s head
Yoongi just smiles and doesn’t scold Jimin for doing such impolite gesture. What a miracle,Jimin thought.
“Okay..I don’t wanna look stupid for being broken heart so I’ll respond your joke. Look!” jimin points at the view outside.
There was a big billboard outside.
“I want you to buy me Taeyang’s ticket concert for tomorrow night. And I want to watch it with you.”
Yoongi looks at the billboard and looks at Jimin again “Where’s the joke?”
Jimin smiles “If you fulfilled my wish,I’d accept your love.”
Yoongi gives a sarcastic smile “I won’t.”
“You will.” Jimin smiles widely. He mentally thanks Yoongi because for the first time in a week,he doesn’t remember Jeongguk

      Jimin put the papers and laptop into his backpack. When he is about to grab the umbrella,he sees another umbrella beside it. A blue coloured umbrella. He takes the umbrella and examining every inches of the umbrella. It is a new umbrella,he thought. He notices a little paper hangs on the umbrella’s stick.
“Maybe you’re getting used to the size,or the colour.
But when you’re getting soaked because that umbrella’s been too old
A new umbrella is worth the try.”

       Jimin is standing under a blue umbrella. He keeps re-reading the hanging little paper. He is wondering who put the umbrella on his table. Jimin thought it was Yoongi,but he then rememberred that it was impossible because Yoongi wasn’t poetic at all.
“Jeongguk,was that you?” He suddenly misses Jeongguk all over again.
