"I don't care what the press says."

Riley was convinced that Tyler was innocent.

"Tyler's not some closet slasher-psycho!"

Brooke rolled her eyes. "I can't see him doing it either, but if he's so innocent, why doesn't he just come forward?" I questioned. Riley's eyebrows furrowed together. She was really stressing about this. "I don't know," she mumbled.

"Maybe he's just afraid," Riley worried. I placed a hand on her shoulder. "I just wish he'd call me back."

Soon enough, Will approached us. "Hey, Em, did you get my texts?" He smiled at Brooke, Riley, and I. I just rolled my eyes, linked arms with Brooke and Riley, and walked away, still bitter from the incident in the garage.

-

Brooke, Riley, and I were leaning up against the lockers on the opposite side from Emma, who was talking to Audrey.

"Audrey, can we please talk?" Emma asked.

Audrey slammed her locker shut and shot a glare at Emma. She sighed. "What's there to say?" She snapped, loud enough for the whole hallway to hear.

"You and Nina filmed me and Rachel."

Emma winced.

"She posted it all over the web. You lied about it, and now you feel guilty," Audrey snapped. "There, we talked," she finished before storming off.

She was only about an inch away from where she was before when her phone - along with everyone else's - went off.

I looked to my phone, and, to my horror, saw what everyone was gasping about.

It was a gif of Nina's dead body, floating in her pool. The thing that really caught me was the figure standing in front of the camera. He was wearing the Brandon James mask. The words 'Payback's a Bitch' were popping up around the picture in big, red letters.

Riley gasped, and Brooke covered her mouth with her hand. My eyes immediately found Emma who looked absolutely terrified.

"That's the Brandon James mask," she mumbled.

"Guess we got our new headline."

-

"All right you guys, phones down."

The sound of everyone's phones hitting the desks broke the silence. Then, something else did -

Jake.

"But, the Brandon James gif put us on the map, Mr, B."

My head was held up by my hand as I rolled my eyes. Just shut up. I usually got pissed at him, but after this morning, I was livid.

"I mean, we've got like 9 of the top 10 trending hashtags right now."

"You know, Jake, maybe you should focus more on your studies and less on this town's web-buzz," Mr. Branson stated.

Thank you.

"Oh come on, Mr. B, who can resist a murder selfie?"

I was about to turn around and slap him.

"Which is, what the killer is counting on," Noah interrupted.
