"Son of a bitch!"
I looked up from my phone to find my hotheaded brother, obviously upset about something.
He had dragged me out here into the woods because he said he needed to get something. Why in the middle of the woods though? Whatever. He had brought a shovel, so I assumed he and Will had buried something stupid out here. It obviously wasn't there.
I rolled down the window and narrowed my eyes. "What's wrong now?" I questioned.
He angrily stormed over to the drivers seat, flung the door open, and got inside. He sighed loudly and mumbled, "Nothing." I rolled my eyes and was caught off guard by my ringtone. Brooke was calling.
"What's up," I said, paying attention to my nails.
"You're never going to guess what I just did to Mr. B!"
I smiled and rolled my eyes. "Do I wanna know? Or am I going to throw up in my mouth?"
I could hear Brooke scoff from the other side. "It's not what you think it is. Although he wanted it to be," she mumbled. I sarcastically pretended to gag. Jake arched an eyebrow at me.
"Anyway, I hid a very naughty picture of me in his room," Brooke exclaimed. I chuckled. Oh Brooke.
"Well, I can't wait 'till Monday to see him looking for it," I said sarcastically.
She sighed. "Well, I have a massage to get to."
"Mom's on another retreat?"
"Yep," she sighed. "Bye, Ev. See you on Monday! Kisses!"
I smiled and hung up.
"What was that about?" Jake questioned.
I sarcastically pointed a finger at him, "You heard nothing."
He jokingly threw his hands up in defense. "Fine by me. Oh, by the way we have to stop at Will's house."
I heaved the biggest sigh and rolled my eyes.
"Not that damn farm again," I said causing Jake to chuckle.

As much as I didn't want to go to Will's house, it seemed that we wouldn't be that long.
Jake stormed out of the car and squinted when he saw Will on some odd-looking tractor.
I knew I probably shouldn't have, but I rolled down my window and pretended to be checking my phone. In reality, I wanted to hear what was going on.
"Will!" Jake shouted, approaching the tractor.
Will turned the thing off and ripped off his gloves.
"Will! We got a serious-ass problem, dude."
Will squinted. "The money is gone!" Jake continued, "I think Tyler took it."
Then I remembered. Jake, Will, and Tyler - maybe even Nina - had been up to some sort of little scheme that involved money.
Will smirked, "No, he didn't. I took it."
Jake looked pissed. "What? Red card, dude. Took it where?"
"You should be thanking me that I got to the cash before Tyler could."
"Not your decision. We're partners."
"Well, you promised to shut down our little operation, partner," Will snapped, "and I know you haven't."
