The Life of a High School Girl

Ch.10) Are you legit?

Today is Wednesday.

What happened yesterday? Was I dreaming, oh god.  BEN STANLEY likes me? I can’t wipe the smile off my face and about what we were talking about yesterday!

I took a pretty quick bath, probably because I was excited to get to school? Then I got dressed, same as usual dark brown skort above my knees, white coloured blouse with the school logo on the top left corner, along with my black flats. I wanted to look good today, so I put extra energy in my hair and did a side fish tail braid on my left hand side. I dabbed on some concealer on my dark circles because I was awake the entire night thinking about him. I quickly chugged some milk and left the house.

I met Taylor and Isabella at the hill, I told them what happened yesterday. They went bonkers! They kept talking about how cute we looked together and that we would be the forever kind of couples. Oh god, this is why I love them!

(Diary, I’m only going to tell you about the period I had with Ben, everything else was pathetic)

I had drama with Ben today! He was the best, I’m not just praising him for the heck of it but because I actually mean it! He was like me...he was quite emotional for a guy. According to me, it’s because his parents are divorced and somewhere deep down it’s hurting him. But he just refuses to express himself. I actually know this by experience because Isabella and Taylor’s parents were split up too. They never showed it. But we were best friends, we had hangouts where we would express our feelings and they would open up to me. We couldn’t talk because unfortunately we were in different groups. But…

After drama I had ICT and I had a choice to sit with Ben because I could sit/do anything I wanted to! Why? Because I was naturally talented with ICT skills, so I had nothing to worry about. So I sat with Ben and wasn’t restricted! And so I began the conversation. My heart felt it was going to beat OUT of my chest, any moment!

“Hey, about yesterday…did you really mean it Ben?” I asked questioningly

“Of course I did. I’ve liked you ever since I laid my eyes on you.” He said as if he were offended

"Hahaha, now that’s pretty corny!” He simply smirked. Oh god, his smirk was B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L

“I know and I only just had the courage to tell you.” He was so cute when he was shy and blushes

“Why now?” I asked in a serious tone with a serious face.

“I was scared you wouldn’t like me back...” He blushed slightly looking down at his lap

“That’s silly! Your so likable!” I suddenly realized what I said and blushed.

“Do you like me?” He asked with his eye with open with surprise

“What happens if I say yes?” I asked as I cocked an eyebrow

“My life would be complete. So do you?” He had the cutest puppy dog face, I wanted to kiss him right there.

“No. I don’t like you.” I said avoiding eye contact

“…” His face dropped

“I really really like you.”  I suddenly bursted with a huge grin

I swear the smile on his face was priceless. That was the moment where I’d wished the world would stop forever. Ohmygosh.

We looked into each other's eyes and it felt like forever. But then I snapped out of it and turned to my computer screen immediately. Ben always hated ICT, said it was a waste of time. Suddenly I felt something on my hand. It was Ben's firm hand. It was so soft. He placed my palm in his. I couldn't help the blush from appearing onto my face.

As I began to work and lesson got over. I quickly rushed out to Isabella to tell her the good news! I knew Ben would follow me.

Whilst I was telling her what happened someone hugged me from the back and I turned around and hugged Ben. He got on his knees, whilst everyone was crowded around us. Everyone was yelling things like "how cute! lucky girl! how romantic! awww!" 

I slightly bent down and said yes. He got back up and hugged me.  

Obviously everyone began cheering and going all OOOO LALA! My cheeks were so red! But I was the happiest person in the WORLD.

He was getting late for his bus and so he told me he had to go, he gave me a peck on the cheek, said his goodbyes, hugged me and left for the school bus.

I turned around and Isabella hugged me super tight! After all…he was my first...

But I was worried. Because every time I’ve HEARD love stories, they say that love hurts. Too late, he poached my heart. I’ll pray for he never leaves me. Because I think I'm truly falling for this boy.
