Rose's p.o.v:

I awake with a jolt. I look over to the bed, and see it's empty. I jump up and look around. The cold air hit me and I grab the blanket. I look down the hallway, and I make my way towards the stairs. I saw Kevin sitting on the steps. I slowly walk past him, and see Amber in the kitchen. Mari comes running through the door, and stops when she sees me. She starts coughing and droplets of blood fly onto the floor. I give her the blanket around me. She takes it and keeps coughing. By this time, Kevin is on one side ready to help her up. She holds out her hand and he takes it. I get on her other side and we slowly take her to the couch.

Soon she's fast asleep. She looked so peaceful. Looking st her you would've never known she was fighting for her life. I went to the kitchen and saw Josh Fixing up the window. I sit down, and Amber looks over at me. She grabs her coat, and hands me mine." Wanna go for a walk with me?" I hesitate, but nod. I put my boots and coat on. She puts her boots on, and we walk outside. It was snowing. We walked through the forest, and I stayed to close to Amber. She looks at me and says " Don't worry about Mari. Her brother will watch her like a hawk." I look at her. " Why is Kevin so watchful of her?" Amber looks at me in the eyes and says "There's so much you don't know. I'll let him tell you." We walk around the forest in silence. As we walked, I thought about her words. What else was there that I didn't know?
