Chapter Sixteen

We arrived at the hospital and we all rushed to her room, I grabbed Louis’ hand a little nervous. “You’ll be fine love” I smiled and we walked in, to find a glowing Emily with a little baby girl. “Oh Em , she’s gorgeous.” I gushed, she smiled at me holding her arms out. “Wanna hold?” I hesitated at first, but Louis pushed me towards her, I took her out of her mums arms and sat her down. “Little Michelle,” Em said to me, I smiled at her name, that was my middle name. Louis walked over to me putting his arm around my shoulder, as sam walked over to Em who was exhausted. I smiled at Michelle, making baby faces, Louis grabbed her hand as she squeezed it back. “Your a natural” He whispered to me. “Aww, anyone would think you two are the parents.” Liam and Harry said and everyone awwed. His statement had taken me back as a tear rolled down my cheek, I passed Michelle to Louis, and excused myself. “Leah,” Louis called after me. 

Louis POV

Leah looked so happy with Michelle, in her arms, she would make an amazing mum. “Aww, anyone would think you two are the parents.” Liam and Harry said and everyone awwed I just ignored them staring at Leah, when I noticed a tear roll down her cheek, oh no. Leah handed me Michelle, who started to cry. I handed her back to Em, “I’m sorry, Leah’s just really sensitive right now” I apologised. “Louis, forget it, she will make an amazing mum, even I couldn’t get Michelle to settle that well.” I smiled excusing myself to find Leah. She was sat in the waiting room, watching as a mum comforted her sick child. “Leah, love” I said squatting by her side. “I thought I could do it, but just seeing the precious little girl in my arms and then Harry and Liam’s comment, I just lost all hope, to think that could have been us” She said finally looking up at me. “Hay, hay, hay” I said pulling her into a hug, as she leant her head on my chest. “Leah, we will be like that, I promise, and it will be soon.” She looked up at me threw her eyelashes, her piercing blue eyes sparkling because of the tears. I smiled and kissed her on the head. “Come on, Em is really worried.” We headed back to Emily’s room, the boys all giving me sympathetic looks. “Mind if Leah, Michelle and I have some time alone?” Emily smiled at Sam who ushered them all out. 

Leah’s POV

Emily was amazing she was like the aunty I had always wanted. Not to say I didn’t have great aunty’s just they were always jet setting off somewhere. “Leah, please tell me whats wrong. I saw the way you looked at Michelle and how you were able to settle her so well, but when Harry and Liam made that comment, I could see in your eyes you were hurt, did something happen I don’t know about?” I sighed sitting next to Emily, as she grabbed my hand squeezing it. “Em, I lost Louis and my baby after we had a fight and I got hit by a car.” Em gasped shaking her head. “Leah, Sam told me you were in hospital but ohh gosh love I’m so sorry, were you planning on keeping it?” I smiled at her, a little relieved to tell her this. “Well, after I saw how crushed Louis was that I wasn’t going to, I had time to think while we weren’t speaking and yeah I thought I might.” Em pulled me into a hug. “You two will make amazing parents, and don’t worry, your time will come soon I just know it.” She smiled handing me Michelle again, I looked into this gorgeous girls eyes, and I knew, Louis and I  would have kids, but little did we know it would be earlier then we thought. As I held a sleeping Michelle’s hand the boys came in.

 They all smiled at me and Louis gave out a little chuckle. “She’s beautiful Sam.” I smiled handing her to Louis. “Just like her aunty, thats why we choose that name” I smiled at them both. “Really guys?” Em smiled then pulled me into another hug. “Surprise” She said and I laughed looking up at Louis, he was making cooing faces at Michelle, she had opened her little eyes and did a small smile. The boys all hit each other pointing at Louis. “See Mr Immature has a grown up side hay? Who knew” Harry said as we laughed. Louis just rolled his eyes, passing her to the boys.
