Books and Movies

They are always completely different. The movies will always leave out at least one good scene from the book that had great importance or was special in some kind of way.

And it KILLS me.

Because while I'm sitting there trying not to point out the differences for my cousins, they'll be sitting there completely oblivious to the fact that I am trying not to ruin a movie for them.

And then when the movie is over, they start taking about how awesome it was.

And then they start talking about their favorite parts.

And then they ask me what my favorite part was.

And I'm just like ' Oh, how about the part when the movie became so different from the book! When was that? OH! At the beginning. '

I kid you not.

Every single time that a movie is made based on a book, I get ready to make a LONG list of differences.

And I'll be sitting there like:

" What happened to that scene?! "

" That never happened in the book! "

" He never even says that! "

" Wasn't she supposed to show a small liking to him? "

" WHY MOVIES, WHY?!?!?!?!?!?! "

And then my cousins will be sitting there arguing with me:

" What are you talking about?! It is so much like the book! "

" That did happen in the book! "

" He does say that! Right? "

Like.....

YOU HAVE NOT READ THE BOOKS!!! I HAVE!!! NOT YOU!!!!

SO HOW CAN YOU KNOW WHAT HAPPENS IN THE BOOK?!?!?!?!?!

One of these days...

I'm going to go crazy....

And it's most likely going to be because of this reason....
