Ashley in MM
Ashley's POV
Tonight me and Domo are going out to a club, only because I insisted on having fun before getting big, although that doesn't include drinking. I haven't spoken a word to Tierra since we went shopping, only because she brought up Ar'iah knowing damn well I'm not over her and trying to hold onto what I have left and get through this hard time.
Why would she bring that up knowing I'm trying not to think about it? I made my bed and now I have to lay in it. I know what I did was wrong, and I don't need Tierra rubbing that in my face.
I'm going to be faced with Ar'iah once again on graduation day, which is this Saturday. Tonight is prom and if I'm not going with Ar'iah then I don't want to go at all. That's also another reason I'm going to the club.
Prom was suppose to be last week but they rescheduled it for tonight. I want to go, and I want to go with Ar'iah but I know she won't go with me. I also know that me and Domo are at a good place and if he knew I wanted to go but not with him and Ar'iah instead, he would be hurt, too hurt.
That's why I decided to go to a club instead. That way I don't run into Ar'iah and get sad, and so that Domo doesn't see me running after Ar'iah and he get all sad. This way Ar'iah can be happy not to see me, Domo can be happy without knowing I'm not over Ar'iah, and I can be the only one who seems happy but truly isn't.
Domo won't be here for another thirty minutes and I'm already dressed. Tierra wanted to help me, but to tell you the truth, I don't want her help. I don't want her advice, and I don't want to talk to her.
I walked downstairs, and Tierra instantly stopped me. "Ashley you look so cute!" She said smiling. "Thanks," I said dryly before walking past her with no smile on my face. I walked all the way to school, and kept walking until I reached Ar'iah's house.
I got the spare key from under the plant pot, then unlocked the door. I heard the most commotion coming from the kitchen, and I just walked up to Ar'iah's room and opened the door. No one is in here, so I just sat on her bed after closing her door.
After a couple of minutes, I heard Ar'iah coming to her room. "Yea, I'll be back down in a few. I just left my clutch in my room," she said sounding like she has been having a good time. Once she opened her door, she looked surprised to see me sitting on her bed. Then she looked even more taken back to see the way I'm dressed.
"What are you doing here?" She asked closing her door. "We've talked about this day so many times Ar'iah that I couldn't go out and have fun without seeing you look like the queen you are." I said staring into her eyes. "You could've saw me at prom," she said crossing her arms.
"That's the thing, I'm not going." I said staring her into her eyes. "What do you mean? You always wanted to go to prom, and now that it's here you're not going." She said unfolding her arms. "I always wanted to go with you, and the fact that I'm not, makes me want to stand back. I want you to go have fun, don't think about me, and as long as I'm not there, I know you will enjoy yourself and have fun like you should and deserve to.
You look beautiful baby, and win or lose tonight, you will still be the queen of the night and every night for that matter." I said as I stood up and tucked a piece of hair behind her ear where it belongs. "I'll pop up and put my vote in then leave, because together or not, I still support you in your every move." I said making sure her hair is perfect then I looked into her eyes to see she has been staring at me the whole time.
"I um see you dress differently now." She said looking away from me. "They are suggesting that I do," I said not wanting to say Domo. "Yea, I should get going. Thanks for stopping by, it definitely made my night a lot better." She whispered not moving an inch.
"Bye," I said standing in front of her. "Bye," she said still not moving. "Ar'iah are we going to keep saying bye, or are you going to actually grab your clutch and walk down them stairs and have the time of your life?" I asked making her smile before she looked down.
"No good luck?" She asked as I caught on that she wasn't ready to go, afraid I won't come back and that she'll have to wait until graduation to see me. "You don't need it," I said staring into her eyes. "Where are you going all dressed up if not to prom?" She asked making me smile.
"I still want to celebrate, but it won't be the same and I don't want to go to prom if it's not with you, so I decided to go to a club." I said making her get serious. "You can't drink you're pregnant," she said seriously.
"There are other things to do at a club other than drink." I said smiling. "Like what?" She asked not buying it. "Like stuff...... Dancing yea, dancing is one of them." I said as she rolled her eyes. "You better not take a sip of anything Ashley." She said not playing any games. "I won't, now get out of here and go to prom." I said smiling.
"Ok," she whispered still not moving. Her eyes moved from my eyes to my lips then she started leaning in slowly, and I couldn't stop myself from doing the same. Our lips met, and I slowly kissed her as I placed my hand on her lower back and she wrapped her arms around my neck.
I licked her bottom lip asking for permission to deepen the kiss, and surprisingly she allowed me to. I slid my tongue into her mouth smoothly, and our tongues merged with each others as I instantly took control. She moaned against my lips, as I did the same soon after.
I pulled away from our kiss and we both slowly opened our eyes and stared into each others eyes. "That's your good luck, now go before I do something that will keep both of us from going anywhere tonight." I whispered as I stared into her eyes.
She just nodded before backing up slowly still staring at me as she reached around for her clutch on her dresser. Once her hand grazed above it, she grabbed it and backed up to the door as we watched each other. She opened the door and left out as I watched her walk away.
