Chapter 23

Alexa's Pov

In college they don't waste time with the games. I'm glad Audrey and I didn't play basketball. We wouldn't have time.

Game time.

"Brooks I swear if you get tired you better run faster." Coach said and I nodded.

"Oh yeah Alexa Brooks." One guy said.

"Brooks! Brooks!" Little kids yelled. Sometimes I hate them little kids.

"For the next five minutes no one talk to me." I said and everyone nodded.

Jay held my hand.

"Breathe." He whispered.

I looked into the crowd and saw lots of number 1s of Flashes or Brooks.

"Oh Brooks looks scared." One guy on the other team taunted.

"Shut up with your crusty lips. Set Hike!" Jake yelled. He started dancing around a to get a guy off of him. He threw it to... me. I froze.

"Brooks come on don't stand there!" Coach yelled snapping me out of my thoughts. I blinked three times and jumped up putting my hand back and caught it.

"Let's go!" Coach yelled excitedly as I started running.

I scored a touchdown.

"Flash!" Little kids yelled.

"Did you just freeze?" Audrey asked chuckling.

"Ok. I did." I said blushing in embarrassment.

"I forgot how cute you look blushing baby girl." He said pulling me into his lap.

"Shut up Jay." I said burying my face in his chest.

"Don't hide it." He whispered.

I buried it deeper in there and he chuckled.

"Hey Brooks." The other team said.

"Um... Hi." I said blankly.

"So I hear you've never lost in three years of playing." He said.

"Um don't you need to be an a huddle. In fact anything but talking to me because seeing a nose that's bigger than your face is giving me a headache." I said honestly and he chuckled.

"You think your so fresh right?" He asked.

"Well I don't know. Do you think I'm fresh?" I asked shrugging.

"I'm gonna punch your pretty little jaw." He said.

"Ok. I'll probably kick your ass if you try it but you can if you want." I said and he rolled his eyes.

"Whatever. Hope you guys take Ls." He said.

"No that's what tot guys do. Gotta go." I said as we walked on the field so did they.

"Set Hike!" Jake yelled and threw it to Audrey.

Audrey turned right back around and threw it to me. I was calculating right now and once I was finished I moved a step firmware two to the right and one to the left making the ball come right into my hands.

One guy came to tackle me but I took a step to the right making him get crossed up and fall.

Not even playing the sport and you still got crossed boy.

I started running and a guy came at me from under but I turned it into a flip and continued running.

I feel so self centered. I rolled my eyes and to solve my problem I threw it back to Jake who's never scored this season.

I know I ran more than the normal quarter back. But he never does.

He almost dropped it from shock but he got it. He started running and I think he got like 2 times faster.

He scored his first touchdown of the season and I smiled.

"Yeah Jake!" I yelled. He smiled a bit

Ryder's Pov

"Ryder?" Christina asked softly.

"Yes baby?" He asked.

She kissed my forehead and cheeks.

"I've been gone for too long. I-I-" She stopped when my eyes turned pitch black.

"We've been over this princess." I said.

"Dads getting angry." Christina answered quietly.

"What has he done?" I asked.

"Nothing Ryder." She said looking away.

"Christina you're lying. I don't like it when you lie to me." I whispered quietly. I nibbled on her ear and she shivered.

"Look Ryder I didn't he didn't do anything. But I know he's getting angry." Christina answered but she was lying. I pushed her up against the wall.

"What. Did. He. Do?" I said slowly but I was still extremely angry that she was lying.

Christina looked away.

"Angel look at me." I said and she shook her head no.

"I'm serious." I said.

She looked up.

"I need you to tell me what he did baby." I said.

"H-he...Ryder forget it you'll be so mad." Christina said.

"I don't fucking care Christina. I need to know what the hell happened!" I snapped getting angry.

"I was taking a w-walk and he f-fingered m-me." She stuttered a bit.

Alexa's Pov

We were down by one touchdown and we have a chance to go into over time if we score a touch down.

"The best chance we got is if we give it to Brooks. Don't focus on anything else but running. Got it Brooks?" Coach asked.

"The pressure has been lifted off my shoulders." I answered sarcastically.

"We're not losing today." Coach answered.

"Flash! Flash! Flash! Flash!" The crowd yelled.

"Set Hike!" Jake yelled. Blink three times. You got it. Jake hands it off to me and I start running. It's a run that people would go pins too silent for or so I believe. We were now playing in a silent field and people were too scared to tackle me so I scored.

"What the hell was that?!" The other Coach yelled.

"Time out!" Coach yelled.

"Alright we should just kick for the normal point and then we can go into over time." Coach said.

"But what if..." Simon said.

"Hey Simon you got this." Drake said smiling.

"Ok."

The victory smell felt so good since the other team told me I would lose so many times. We raised up a smiling Simon.

"Told you you could do it." Drake said smirking.

"Thanks. I'm hungry though." Simon replied smiling. We all laughed.

"Where to?" Coach asked. Simon thought about if for a few moments. "Dominoes." He answered.

"Dominoes it is Simon." Coach replied smiling wide.
