Chapter 19

Emma's Pov

I got a game today and our senior girls team has sucked since Kayla left because no one had an inspiration.

"We gonna win?" I asked.

"No." They replied.

"You guys must've said yes wrong because I'm not losing today." I said and they laughed.

"We never win." One girl said.

"I don't lose." I said.

We walked on the court.

"Oh it's the puny team." One girl said and laughed.

"Whatever." I said rolling my eyes.

I grabbed my head band and it said baller.

So did everyone else's because I made them.

"Are you ready?" The ref asked.

"Yup." We said.

He threw the ball up and I pushed my whole body against the girls' body and caught the ball.

I passed it to Michaela. A girl had her on lock down.

She bounced it between her legs and behind her legs and around the girl and hit a three. Yes.

"What?!" The girl yelled.

"Yeah we don't suck anymore." I gasped before laughing and running down the court. One girl decided to shoot and Trisha totally invited her to her block party(she blocked her.)

"Fowl!" She yelled.

"Nah she invited you to her block party. Let em know what's up Trisha." I said giving her a high five. The ref replayed it and said it wasn't a fowl and we started with the ball.

I passed it in to Christina.

Christina is mute. I don't know why but she just is. She doesn't talk.

"Oh it's the mute girl." One girl said.

But this team has good things about each other and its waiting to come out.

Christina dunked on the girl and I smiled. She doesn't smile either. She just shrugs.

One girl tried to take a shot but I jumped and caught the ball and and passed it to Alyssa

Alyssa made a three pointer. Yes.

We ended up winning by 20 points making the other team angry and confused.

I got MVP even though I passed a lot to get my teammates more involved.

"Hey thank you." My teammates said smiling.

"I didn't win for the team." I said smiling.

"Yes you did." Brianna said.

Christina nodded in agreement.

"Why don't you talk?" I asked smiling at Christina. A tear left her eye.

"Sorry." I said quietly.

"Christina come on." Michaela said.

Christina started crying.

"Ok ok sorry." Alyssa said holding her quietly.

"It's ok. I got her." Ryder said. Ryder goes to our school.

"DON'T FUCKING TOUCH ME!" Christina yelled at Ryder. Everyone turned there heads.

"Christina-" Ryder said.

"Shut up." She growled at him. She almost tackled him but we grabbed her.

"Christina stop it." Alyssa said and she turned around. Everyone was staring at her.

"I-I need to g-go." Christina stuttered.

She ran out of the restaurant leaving my everyone to stare but Ryder ran out too.

Well at least she spoke.

Christina's Pov

"Christina wait." I heard Ruder call but I only ran faster. Thank goodness I'm wearing sneakers.

"Christina." Ryder said breathlessly. He grabbed my upper arm.

"Go away." I said pushing him.

"Why do you hate me?" Ryder snapped.

"You weren't there when I fucking needed you. You were my best friend and then you left." I snapped at him.

"Look I didn't want to leave you." Ryder snapped.

I couldn't talk anymore. I talk occasionally but only when I'm fuming.

"Christina just talk please." Ryder begged.

I shook my head no and his eyes held anger.

Christina's Pov

I was driving home quite angrily wiping my tears away occasionally.

My Dad would probably be angry and I was driving quite recklessly. But I got under control and there was a guy swerving around and I couldn't move out of his way.

He was coming really fast.

"Oh my gosh!" I yelled and the last thing I heard was our cars crashing and I was immediately out.
