Song of the Chapter: "The Judge" by twenty one pilots

*Time Lapse to Early Tuesday Morning*

Kellin sighed in satisfaction as we finished making love in his bunk. The earliest morning light was just barely illuminating the cell.

"You know we don't have to keep doing that if it's not what you want," I reminded him once we'd cleaned ourselves up, our sweaty bodies still intertwined.

"It is what I want, don't worry. If I'm going to die tomorrow, I'd better enjoy it today, right?" Kellin replied, his voice tinged with bitterness. I frowned, brushing his messy hair out of his face.

"I don't want you doing it because of that," I told him, a little hurt at his words. Kellin sighed, shaking his head.

"I didn't mean it in that way, it's just... it's been weighing on my mind, you know?" Kellin said quietly. I hesitated, unsure of how to reply. Kellin's potential impending death had been taboo for discussion over the past few days. I opted for an alternate route.

"Well maybe I can help take your mind off it for a while longer," I murmured, kissing him gently and letting my fingertips wander down his torso. Kellin shivered as I reached his hipbones, his member hardening again. I quickly changed course and began tickling his sides.

"Hey!" Kellin squealed, swatting at my hands and giggling. I kept tickling him mercilessly despite his protests, pinning him to the bed and kissing his neck. I eased up on the tickle attack, Kellin still laughing loudly.

"Shut the fuck up," Jesse groaned from across the hallway. I realized that we weren't exactly being considerate of the fact that it was probably around 4:30 in the morning.

"Sorry," I whisper-yelled back and Jesse grunted in reply. Kellin giggled again and cuddled against me once more.

"I think we made him mad," I murmured to Kellin.

"Maybe a little. God, I love you," Kellin whispered back. My breath caught in my throat and Kellin's face turned bright red in the faint morning light.

"You-" I broke off, still shocked.

"No."

"But you said-"

"Nope."

"You really-"

"No!"

"You love me!" I exclaimed. Kellin blushed even deeper.

"So? You loved me first!" Kellin babbled. I scoffed.

"No way, you said it first!" I argued.

"That doesn't mean you didn't love me!"

"I didn't!"

"Did too!"

"Did not!" There was a pause.

"Did too!"

"I love you, Kellin," I replied suddenly. Kellin was silent, smiling at me shyly. I was drifting off again and I heard him whisper in my ear.

"I love you too, Vic."

"Looking spiffy, Kellin," Caleb commented at breakfast. Kellin had dressed in his cleanest prison greys and had combed his hair back neatly for his court appearance.

"I agree," I said with a wink, squeezing Kellin's thigh gently under the table. He smiled and glanced down at his tray shyly.

"Thanks," he murmured. His nerves were almost palpable.
