~~~Charlie's P.O.V~~~
It's been two days now and I still find myself looking over in the booths, waiting for Dean to appear. I find myself hoping and wishing and then getting sad and depressed. I don't know why I'm so sad. I mean, I'm the one that told him to go. I'm the one that told him to not let each other see each other. "Charlie, sweetheart, you alright? You've been staring at that booth for three minutes now." Lonnie says as she puts her hand on my shoulder. I turn around and look at her with tears filling my eyes.
"I don't know Lonnie. I miss him." I admitted and Lonnie smiled weakly.
"Go home sugar. You need the rest. You have bags under your beautiful brown eyes and it makes me all sad looking at you. Go home sweetheart." Lonnie says and I smile frailly. I take off my waist apron and hand it to Lonnie before going to my car. I get in the driver's seat and put my forehead on the steering wheel. I put my keys in the ignition and leave the diner. I past main street and could've sworn Dean's car past me. It made tears swell in my eyes. Why was I missing him so much? I mean, it was only one date right? My phone starts ringing so I reach in the passenger seat and grab it and answer.
"Hello?" I ask as I try to hide my sadness.
"Hey baby." It was Jess. A small smile appeared on my lips. "When are you coming home? I'm starving."
"I'm on my way right now, don't worry. How was the business trip? Fun I hope." I say.
"It wasn't fun at all. You weren't there. We had to go to Maine and it was pretty chilly." Jess says and I could hear the smile in his voice. Should I tell Jess about Dean? No way, Dean is the past and Jess is the present.
"I gotta go hon, I'm on the road and can't talk. I'll be there soon. Love ya, bye." I say as I hung up. Did I really love him? My head was being filled with a bunch of questions, all mostly about Dean and Jess. I pulled into the driveway and saw Jess leaning on his blue Mustang. He had his hands in his coat pockets and a small smirk appeared on his lips. I smiled.
"God I missed you." Jess says as he grabs my waist and lifts me up and spins me around. He puts me down as I giggle. It was the first time I giggled or laughed since the Dean incident. "Hey, how bout we go down to Weezy's and eat? I'm starving and I heard your stomach growling earlier. You in?"
"Y-yeah I guess. Just let me get out of my work clothes and we can go." I smile as I kiss his cheek and head on inside.
~~~Dean's P.O.V~~~
I sat at the bar of Weezy's and ordered another beer. It was my third one and I haven't even gotten a buzz yet. I felt desperate to get drunk. I needed to empty my mind of Charlie. The only thing I could think about was her soft lips and her tiny giggle. "Oh hey there Charlie. Jess." I hear that Chris guy say. I look over my shoulder and see Charlie and another guy walk in and sit in a booth. Charlie was wearing a gray t-shirt and she had her dark hair up in a messy bun. The guy, Jess, was in a black t-shirt and jeans. It made me sick to my stomach. I saw her smile but I could tell it was either fake or she was extremely troubled. I saw Jess lean over the table and kiss her and I saw her not kiss back. Instead, I saw a small tear slide down her cheek. Before Jess pulled away, she wiped the tear off so he wouldn't see. Slick move kid.
"You want another beer man?" The bartender asked. I turned around and looked at the empty beer bottle in my hand.
"Maybe one more." I say and he swaps my empty one out for a full one. I turned back around and saw Charlie sitting in the booth alone. I got up and sat across from her. "You look a little blue." I say and she looks up with a shocked look. "I know we shouldn't be talking since your with your boyfriend but, you looked like you needed it."
