A/n: this is about the Orlando Pulse shooting, if you don't know what it is, here's a brief  explanation; There was a shooting at a gay bar in Orlando, FL. It was an act of homophobia. 51 people died, including the shooter.  50 people inured. It was really sad and I'm still shaken up about it. I really don't feel safe to be openly gay. I'd love to talk to you guys about it in the comments.

Any way, enjoy the chapter.

Dippers POV

I haven't seen Y/n for three weeks... the last time I saw her was... the 13th I think...

I went up to her house and knocked on the door. After a few minutes the door opened. It was y/n's mom.

"Oh! Dipper... um, are you here to see Y/n?" She asked. "Yeah, I haven't seen her in a while, I wanted to make sure she's okay." I answered. She smiled a little. "Good, maybe you can figure out why she's so down. Come on in, she's in her room." I nodded, and went to her room. I knocked on her door.

"Go away." She said through the door. "It's dipper." I said back.

"Dipper?" I heard her start to walk towards the door. She opened it. She was wearing a shirt with a rainbow heart and sweat pants. "What are you doing here?"

"I wanted to see if you're okay. I haven't seen you for three weeks."

She looked down. "Yeah..."

"Are you okay?"

"Can we talk about this in my room?" "Oh... sure." She moved out of the way so I could walk in to her room. I sat on her bed. She followed after she shut the door. She looked down. "What's wrong?" I asked again.

She mumbled something under her breath. "What? I didn't hear you."

"So many innocent people died!" She yelled.

"What?" I asked, some what quietly.

"People died for no reason! Why do people hate LGBT people so much?! Assholes!" She yelled again, starting to pace, pulling on her hair. "Wh- wait what are you talking about?" I asked. I was utterly confused. She turned sharply to me. "You don't even know?!" "No...?" I said. She sighed.

She sat down next to me and put her head on my shoulder. "There was a shooting in Orlando. At a gay bar. They were shot because they were gay. It's just fucked up." I put my arm around her, then asked "When did this happen?" "The 13th." "Oh... wasn't that singer shot then too?" She nodded. "Yeah... she died, 50 people died at the gay club, the Orlando regional hospital shooting happened, the Shanghai bomb, and the massive explosion in Beirut... it all happened all in 48 hours." I hugged her a little closer.

"People are awful." I said.

"The world's gone to shit." She said.

"Hey... Y/n..." I started. She looked up at me. I looked down at her. Her eyes were red from crying.

I slowly leaned in to her face, our lips brushed against eachother, until I closed the gap. Her lips were dry and chaped. But, I felt her kiss back. After a moment, I leaned back. She fluttered her eyes open. "Why did you..." she started, but didn't finish. "To make you feel better... you... I thought it might help." I shrugged. She smiled slightly before leaning back on my shoulder.

"Thanks Dip."

"No prob bob."

There was a little bit more silence. "I love you." She said.

"I love you too."

More silence.

"Can we do something fun? Just to get my mind off things?" She asked.

"Like what?"

"Movie night...?"

I smiled. "Sure."
