I think I love you

"Invites please?"

"Here you go," Ethan said whilst pulling the invitation card out of his jean pocket.

"Is she with you?"

"Oh you mean her?" He asked, pointing at me, "naah."

I scoffed and poked him in the rib with my elbow, he chuckled.

"Yeh, she's with me," We both smiled and the tall bodyguard let us in.

I could feel the in-somnolent buzz before I even walked in but when I did the scent of sweat, alcohol and a slight breeze hit me, everybody was so energetic.

"Wow," Ethan commented while rubbing his rib cage.

"I know right," I responded, "so... Are you going to dance with me or what?"

"Hmm... I think-" before he was about to say no I grinned and pulled his arm, taking him to the dance floor.

Ethan could dance really well but he was a shy character so normally he kept it to himself. Before we knew it we were dancing and shouting lyrics of the songs that played, not singing but shouting. We were moving our hips, jumping and just having so much fun. My heart was pumping out of my chest. My head was rocking and we were all smiling. I felt really thirsty so I told Ethan I was going to get a drink. I slipped away from the crowd and walked towards the bar.

"Can I have some water please?" I smiled at the cute bar attendant.

"Coming right up," he nodded.

My fingernails started tapping on the surface of the Bar.

"Water Hayley? What are you? 10?"

I immediately figured out who it was hoping I was wrong I slowly turned around to face them. It was Nikki, I wasn't wrong.

"Hey Nikki, how's it going?" I smiled politely even though I wanted to break her jaw right there.

"We'll let me think, this stupid girl won't stay away from my boyfriend so I a.k.a his girlfriend can spend time with him."

"Wow, your boobs have grown but your jealousy has too."

This time she fake smiled. She seemed pretty annoyed and by the looks of it quite angry. Nikki was wearing a bright gold sequin dress which contrasted from her dull personality, I couldn't deny the fact that she was pretty and yes she was but her personality is ugly.

Nikki poked her finger at my chest and warned me saying,

"Look, I don't want to hurt you or make you suffer but unless you stop I'm going to have to," I grasped her finger and pushed it away.

"Why don't you look? Ethan is my best friend and no way am I leaving so you poison his mind, I'm not leaving him for the world let alone you. He's been there for me through thick and thin and means a hell of a lot to me so screw you."

"You leave me no choice," I furrowed my eyes in confusion.

"What?"

She looked around and then pulled me with both of her arms.

"Ow, ow, let go Nikki!" I shouted.

She kept dragging me until we reached an empty corridor and pushed me into a wall. My back left shoulder but it first and then I fell to the ground. I cried in pain and cursed under my breath.

"Why... Are you doing this? Ah," I panted and stuttered, "stop, please."

I bit back the tears but the pain was too much. She stood in front of me, I had no escape.

"Maybe now, you'll stay away from Ethan."

I sniggered,

"You didn't push me that hard."

"Lucky you then, escaped a dislocated shoulder, well I hope you don't escape this,"

I tried to get up while she was talking but she swung her arm back and gave me a powerful blow to my stomach. It hurt so much, a moan managed to escape my throat.

"You're... Such a little bitch." I shook my head.

"Little but strong babe."

I was panting heaving trying to get my strength back.

"Wait a minute, why am I hurting you I.e wasting my energy instead of wrecking my look to make it look like you're hurting me so that you look like the bad guy. It would also be a lot less painless not that you can hit properly or anything."

"You're crazy."

Nikki started to pull her hair, scratch her arms and punch herself.

"Stop, what are you doing?" I yelled. I tried to get up but my stomach was hurting too much.

"Ow, well it's probably working," she grinned.

"Stop it! It's wrong, stop," I repeated.

Nikki punched herself at her face so hard she actually started bleeding, she didn't realise it until she felt it with her hand.

"Blood, 10 points for me."

"You're actually sick," I had gathered enough strength to get onto my feet.

"The fun starts now," she winked. "Ahhhh! Help, Ahhhhh!" She kept screaming as she kept hurting herself.

I reached for her shoulder and shook her trying to make her quiet but it was no use.

I looked behind her only to see security running towards us.

"Oi, you lot, stop what you're doing."

"Shit," I muttered to myself.

Along came a sea of people behind them and with that Nikki started crying her crocodile tears.

"So what's happened here?" The security guard asked.

"She just attacked-"

"She's crazy-"

We both were talking at once but looking at the state of the situation, no one would believe me.

The security separated us and gave us a warning.

"As I haven't seen you kids here before this is a warning, I won't call the police but you'll need to explain your injuries to your parents Ie your side of the story but we will be calling home."

I sighed in frustration, I couldn't believe what just happened.

Suddenly Ethan came running towards me.

"Oh my God, I'm so glad to see you," I sighed.

I gave him a really right hug and held him for a while. He held my face in the palm of his hands and said,

"Are you okay?"

"Well, now I am."

He looked to his right and saw Nikki, he just ignored her and looked back at me.

"I'm taking you home, now," he said.

"Ok," I nodded, "wait I need to give them my parents number."

Ethan waited till I did so and then we headed out.

"Why didn't you question me? Or anything like that?" I wondered.

"Hayley you're my best friend I know you, you wouldn't do anything wrong and even if you did I'd still be on your side."

I smiled at him, sometimes he can seem so stupid but I don't know what I'd do without him. Ethan opened the front passenger seat of the car and shut it behind me. When he sat too I said,

"I love you Ethan,"

"Love you too Hayley," he smiled.
