"What should we wear?" I asked, as I threw an armfull of clothes on my bed. I watched as Morgan picked through the clothes, looking for a particular piece of clothing. I knew what she was looking for, she wanted my deep red knee high dress,
"I want the deep red dress." She pouted throwing one of my scarfs at me. Laughing, I stood up and stalked to the closet. Pulling out her desired dress, and handed it to her. Watching her smile, she ran into the bathroom to change. I rolled my eyes, but started going through the pile of clothes, I finally settled on a light pink dress, with black lace on the top. I threw on my light pink ankle high boots with the zipper on the side, my pink bow earrings, a pretty pink rose ring, and my pink and white bangles. I didn't exactly like the color pink, but I loved this outfit, and since it was the first party of the year, I decided I would wear it and make a grand enterance. When I heard the bathroom doorknobe turning, I looked up to see Morgan standing there in the deep red dress, with bright red high heels, a red cross braclette, her crown ring, and her deep red rose earrings. She looked beautiful. "I love your outfit!" She squesled coming up to me, and started looking at what I was wearing.
"I love yours." I smiled right back at her.
"We can make anything look good." She joked, giving me a wink. I rolled my eyes once more, before we headed back into the bathroom to do our hair and makeup. I had decided that I was going to straighten mine and put a small part of the front into a small ponytail. Hope curled hers, and tied it up with a pretty black bow. Morgan did her makeup simple, a soft blue and white, mixed with black eyeliner and mascara. I did my makeup light, like a bright brown and a bright tan with deep eyeliner. I loved the way I looked, and that was a first. "Alright, were ready. Lets go!" Morgan shouted, leading the way out of the bathroom, but as she got to my front door she had to grip the door so she didnt fall face first down the stairs. Trying to cover my laughter, I looked down and pretended I had to grab my bag. "Shut up Peyton." She hissed before turning around and slowly walking down the stairs. We slowly made our way to the car, when my mom stopped me,
"Peyton!" She shouted from the living room. I threw on the jacket on the coat rack, and softly padded my way to where she was laying on the couch.
"Yeah mom?" I asked, looking down at her, then trying to make sure that it looked like I was just going out to the movies or something.
"On your way home, can you pick up some milk?" She asked, looking over at me.
"Yeah, of course. Itll be kind of late though becuase were going to like two movies." I said, trying to make it seem long enough for us to be at the party for at least a couple hours without her worrying about us or our friends thinking were goody goods for leaving the party early. She nodded her head, rolled back over and fell quickly back asleep. I tiptoed my way back to the door, and softly made my way outside. Slowly taking the jacket off before shutting the door.
"What did she want?" Morgan asked, as we slid into the car.
"She wanted me to get some milk on the way home." I laughed, putting the key in the ignition and making our way to the party. Looking out the windshield I saw a little girl running out in front of my car. Skidding to a stop, I looked back out the windshield but the little girl was gone.
"What the fuck Peyton!" Morgan shouted, clutching the dash. Her knuckles were white, and her face was pale.
"You didn't just see that little girl??" I asked, pointing to where the little girl was just at. She looked at me like I was crazy.
"Maybe you need more sleep. Why dont you let me drive." She offered, getting out of the car and making her way to the driver side. I obliged, but I couldn't take my eyes off of the spot where I saw the little girl. I knew she was there, I had saw her. Or did I...I mean I thought I saw my name written in blood on the board earlier today, and I thought I heard someone whisper my name in Calculus, but when I blinked it was all gone. Maybe I really am going crazy, I thought softly shaking my head. Looking over at Morgan, I noticed she was giving me scared glances.
