Where did I go wrong?

Chapter 5

(I'm going to start putting their words in bold, if you like it better the way I had it let me know and I'll change it back)

JESSICA'S POV

Ivan offered me a ride and we're going to get something to eat. I check my phone to see if my brother has messaged back and sure enough he has.

"What friend? Jessica if it's a boy, I will kill him if he hurts you. Be safe little sis."

I roll my eyes and quickly text him back. I'm about to put my phone back in my pocket when Ivan snatches it right out of my hand.

"Hey!" My cheeks turning pink.

"We have the same phone," Ivan laughs a little,still holding my IPhone 6s, "Well except for the back. Mines silver and black,not rose gold."

"Nice observation. Can I have my phone back please, you're driving!" I say pointing to the road which he should be paying attention to,not my phone. I try to grab it back but he pulls away.

Ivan presses the home button and my SpongeBob lock screen flashes on. He laughs, "Nice Screensaver Jess."

My cheeks heat up and I finally grab my phone back. I slump a little in my seat and look out the window. I wonder where we're going. I glance to Ivan but he's already looking at me. Well glancing alot because he has to look at the road to, but you know what I mean. I see him smile a little towards road.

"Why are you smiling like that?" I ask him ,raising my eyebrows.

"You look cute when you pout " Ivan laughs.

I blush intensely. I look down and notice my arms are crossed and I probably did have a pout face on but did he just call me cute?!

"Did I really just make you blush that bad?" Ivan smirks.

Why can't this car ride be over already?
As if on que, Ivan pulls into a parking lot for a little diner called "Mom's kitchen". We get out of the car and walk into the dinner. We are greeted by a smiling waitress once we are inside.

"Hey Ivan, I'll be right there to serve you guys in just a sec." She says pointing us to a table and handing only,me a menu.

"Why didn't you get a menu?" I ask Ivan.

"I come here alot." Ivan says, " I usually come alone unless I bring my little sister."

I nod and look back at the menu. There's a good amount to choose from but I end up deciding on a hamburger and a small fry. Once we're done eating, Ivan drives me back to school so I can get my car. When we reach the parking lot, Ivan turns to me.

" So, I'll see you tomorrow? " Ivan says scratching the back of hisneck. I don't know what I was expecting him to say but I don't think that's it.

"Yeah,uh tomorrow." I say back giving him a little smile. I get out of his car and into mine. He waits until I started my car before honking and driving away. I check the vanity mirror and pull my hair into a ponytail. I pull out of the parking lot and put on some music. My phone starts vibrating and I see that my mom is calling. I put her on speaker and set the phone on my lap.

"Hello?" I tell my mom.

" Hey hun, if it's not to much trouble can you stop by the store and pick up some chocolate for me? I'll pay you back once you get here." My mom says sounding tired.
