Where did I go wrong?

Chapter 6

IVAN'S POV

Once I get through my door I head to my mom's room. She's laying in bed.. The doctor has put her on bed rest because these past few days she hasn't been feeling well. It's hard seeing my mom like this. Beside her is my little sister Jacky,cuddling with my mom. I smile a little and kiss them both on their forehead. I walk into the kitchen to get a snack then head up to my room. I sigh and lay on my bed. I'm confused by what has just happened. Jessica was hurt that I have a girlfriend? I don't get it, we just met today. We're only friends. Well I thought we were friends but according to Jessica we're barely friends. I was a little taken back by that. I do- OMG I FORGOT MY GUMMY WORMS. Well that's just great, I lost a friend and some gummies. No but seriously, I need to figure out what's up with her. I've tried texting her but she has been ignoring me. A text pops up and I hope it's Jessica but it's my girlfriend Vanessa. Vanessa is a really cool person. She has blonde hair and green eyes. We have been together for three months but she doesn't live around me. She lives about 30-45 minutes away from where I live so she goes to a different school, which sucks because I barely get to see her.

"Ivan?" I hear a little voice and turn to see Jacky standing in my doorway. She's 3 and a half years old and has light brown curly hair.

"Wassup kid" I say smiling,picking her up and putting her on my bed since she's to short to do it herself.

"When is mommy gonna get better? She's always sad." My sister says with a cute quiet voice.

" She will be okay, I promise" But I don't know if she will be. She was doing so well and responding to her treatment so good, but lately she hasn't been doing so good.

" I'm scared Ivan" she says.

Me too.

"It's okay I'm here and mommy will be fine." I say praying to God that she will be. My little sister has tears coming from her eyes and I wipe them away for her.

" How about you and I go get icecream tomorrow after school?" I say trying to lighten the mood.

"Yeah!!! Can we we pleaseeeeeee" She says exaggerating the word please.

"Only if you promise me you will be strong for mommy and do as she says." I say holding her little hand.

"I promise ivy " she says holding out her pinky. I link my pinky with hers and she runs out and goes into her room.

I need to figure out why Jess is ignoring me. What did I do to make her upset already? I know we only met today and the way we met wasn't the best but she seems like a good friend. I call her but she forwards it. I'm starting to get frustrated. I didn't do anything wrong. At least I think I didn't. I don't know I'm so confused. Maybe I did lead her on a bit by flirting. I always joke around like that though, nothing serious, everyone who knows me knows that I do that. But she did just meet me today so I guess she wouldn't know. I'll just have to wait until tomorrow to talk to her. I do homework and go on my phone until I get tired then I fall asleep around 11. Tomorrow I'm going to get answers from her one way or another.

P.s. I kind of picture Ivan's little sister as Justice Carradine's little sister but I don't know her name to put her in the cast. & For Ivan's girlfriend I was thinking about Chloe Moretz??? Idk let me know what you think.
