So close...and yet so far

That was so close. Stupid pizza guy. As we were eating we were watching a scary movie. Once again I was snuggled up to mark, my head resting on his shoulder. "Jack?" I heard snapping back to reality.

"Yeah?" I looked and my eyes met his glorious brown eyes. I had no time to react as he tilted my head up and pressed his lips against mine. I paused for a moment but then melted into the kiss. His warm lips pressed lovingly against mine. He wrapped his arms around my waist pulling me closer. I cupped his cheeks and sat on his lap. I broke the kiss, gasping for air. I was blushing and so was he.

"Jack will you go out with me?" He asked blushing. I smiled and pulled him in for another kiss. I broke away. "Of course Markimoo." He blushed at the nickname. For the rest of the movie, we cuddled, me with my head on his chest and his arms wrapped around me. It was about midnight and my mom came in. She doesn't know I'm gay.

"SEAN?!" I heard a shriek and looked to find my mom on her knees crying. I stood up and tried to go comfort her. "Get away from me!" She shrieked. I ran to my room with Mark following me. I fall to the floor crying. Mark comes up and sits on the floor. He pulls me onto his lap, running his fingers through my hair, humming. He was rocking back and forth. I sobbed into his chest. "H-how c-c-could I h-have b-been s-s-so s-stupid?!" I managed to say. Mark hugged me tighter.
"She didn't know. She was probably just startled and confused." Mark purred in his low voice. We sat like that for a while. Even after I got my crying under control. My mom went to bed and we were still like that. I was ready for bed and invited Mark to sleep with me. (Not like that....yet XD) He agreed and climbed into the covers with me. He wrapped his arms around me and started humming 'you are my sunshine'. Soon I feel asleep. Luckily I had no night mares that night. I was so happy Mark was there as my protecter.
