His cheeks turned a bright shade of red as he realised the boldness in his actions.
"Oh, oh my god. I'm so dumb."
Jaebum started becoming frantic, eyes flickering from the floor, to Youngjae, and back again.
Youngjae watched, now confidently leaned against the sink, a painted mixture of amusement, curiosity, and surprise was spread across his face. His eyes were still misted with insecurity and self loathing, but Youngjae seemed to blink them away while watching Jaebum become more of a nervous wreck in front of him.
"I'm going to go. I- I'm sorry again."
Youngjae smiled and for a second he forgot; he really did. He forgot that no matter how much makeup he put on, it wouldn't fix this wracking insecurity he had. This insecurity that no matter what he didn't people wouldn't just, accept him. Whether he knew it or not, Jaebum, who he knew nothing else about, had just made his day. Something about the fact, that even though it seemed as though it pained Jaebum to talk, he took time from his day to come console Youngjae made him feel all the better.
Youngjae turned himself back around looked at himself in the mirror. It was a pity he made his first impression looking like this. His eyes were puffed and slowly returning from their swollen state, glitter was streaked down his cheeks and mascara hung to his skin, not his eyelashes.
He brought his hands, which minutes had been gripping the sink as he cited, to his face and wiped the makeup off of his face. But, he wasn't going to just leave it off, oh no, if he did, it said: "I care what you think." That was the image he wanted to put out. He didn't want to care so he would pretend he didn't.
Youngjae pulled his makeup bag from the bag he had strewn onto the floor. He felt the familiar fabric in his hand, the one that held the contents allowing him to transfer into who he wanted to be.
He signed as he realised his eyes would need complete redoing. He didn't mind so much though.
Youngjae applied concealer on pinpointed parts of his face, that he had created absences in while crying. He redid his highlight, and finally moved on to do is eyes again. The boy felt comfortable applying the gold and yellows tints onto his delicate eyelids. He loved the way eye liner could make his bright eyes shine even more, and he loved how mascara could finish his entire look. He didn't forget to gently place the golden sparkles on the corner, and under his eyes. He was now - glittery.
He looks at the finished product. It may've been better than the one this morning.
He thought for a moment.
He'd never seen that guy, Jaebum who came in a few minutes earlier.
He seemed liked the quiet type. Although Youngjae did have to admit, he was kind of cute, all shy and all.
Another thought crossed through the boys mind.
If Jaebum hadn't come in here, would he even been finished crying yet? Why is that he smiled so much thinking about the encounter he had just had? And why was he so determined upon finding him again?

To his friends, Youngjae seemed restless.
"Youngjae, are you okay?" Yugeyom asked. He watched as his older friend looked around Yugeyom, eyes scanning every area of the busy lunchroom. He had been distant the entire lunch period and not seeming to focus on anything except whatever he was looking for.
"Hm?" Youngjae responded still not looking.
"Youngjae!" The brunette snapped his head, and looked in the direction of Yugeyom, whose yelling had attracted the attention of Kunpimook, Jungkook, and Yoongi.
"What?"
"I said are you okay?"
At this point Youngjae had thrown his focus back to looking around the room, but this time he was actually listening. Although, he didn't feel like answering the question because he had a few of his own.
"Do you know a, Jaebum?" Youngjae asked.
Kunpimook, Yoongi, and Taehyung now looked just as bewildered as Yugeyom. The three stared and looked at Youngjae who didn't seem to notice the change of atmosphere.
"What on earth are you taking about?" Yoongi asked.
"Do any of you know this guy named Jaebum." Youngjae for the first time looked at all of his friends, with a dead serious expression. "He's tall, longish auburn hair, he usually wears big sweaters. It's just - I just met him today, and he seemed really cool, but I hadn't seen him before, it's like he didn't even go here."
"No, I don't know someone named Jaebum."
"Me either"
"Or me, sorry."
Youngjae looked disappointed, and began scanning over the shoulders of Yugeyom and Jinyoung again.
"Wait," Youngjae stood from his seat, a bright smile spreading across his features. His arm pointed to the door. "There!"
