After getting off the plane in Seattle, I realized that my jet lag was terrible and I was gonna be stuck with some temporary insomnia. Tomorrow was Matt's birthday. Since Carter and I argued two days ago, we hadn't talked at all. And it was nothing more I hated than that. I was so used to Carter's company, I didn't know what to do in those past couple of days.

I took out my phone, trying to find a cure for my boredom. After a thousand games of Mountain Goat Mountain, I was left scrolling through my gallery. After a while, I just called my sister as we were on the way to the Seattle hotel. I was stuck in the car with Jacob, Taylor, and Hunter, which left me utterly annoyed as they sang songs by Bryson Tiller, Desiigner and Justin Bieber.

"Hello?" She spoke into the phone, her voice just as I'd remembered it.

"Hey Diamon." I said cheerily in response, although I was fiddling with the front seat belt buckle.

"Hey sister! Whatchu doing?"

"On the way to this hotel in Seattle." I muttered.

"Damn, that's far out. When you getting back to Houston?"

"According to the tour dates, around like late September." I said, and I heard Diamon groan on the other end of the phone.

"Alright Byron want me to cook for him, I love you, call me later." Diamon said, ending our conversation short.

"K." I said and hung up the phone. I called Jenae, who I knew would listen to my drama.

"Tellll meee why..." I whispered.

"What's the tea, bih?" She asked in reply.

"I gotta tell you about all these dates Carter," I whispered Carter's name lower so no one would hear me, "took me on."

"What?" She basically yelled.

"Yes! Like it was lit, we ate ice cream together—"

"You don't even like ice cream."

"That's what made it even cuter! And he took me out for breakfast and to the Japanese Garden, which was gorgeous. I mean, it was so nice..."

"So what fucked it up?" Jenae asked, and I loved how she knew everything just by my vocal expressions.

"We went to a party, and he had a threesome. And not with me." I added.

"Yo, what?" She yelled, causing me to flinch away from the phone.

"Yeah, and we got into an arguement when Skate passed me the weed." I said.

"Argument? Why? About what?"

"He thinks weed is a habit that I couldn't shake and he doesn't trust me to be around it. It annoys the hell out of me."

"Girl, you tripping, he actually seem to care about you. Put yo pride aside and apologize." Jenae said.

"You too? Omagawd." I grumbled.

"I'm serious, like I know you like his company, and you might be catching feelings for his ass—"

"Nuh-uh, don't you do that, I am not catching feelings for Carter and you know this." I said, a little loud. Taylor, who sat in the driver's seat, looked at me with wide eyes. "Shit, I gotta call you back." I whispered and swiftly hung up the phone. I smiled innocently at Taylor.

"Taylor, my old friend, my little angel, my sweet little angel," I said, and by that time Taylor was looking at me like I was crazy. "Can I trust that you won't say anything or do I have to blackmail you dude?"
