Charlie's POV:
I begin to walk toward the elevators while my hand rests on Meghan's waist. I stop once I see that Meghan walks right past the elevators.
"Meg, where are you going?" I ask.
"The stairs," she answers.
I sigh and jog to catch up to her. We round another corner to see a bunch of people there. They were running everywhere just swarming this little, innocent child that was laying in the bed, motionless. Meghan and I get against the wall, and I see Meghan that's about to cry.
"Hey," I say as I pull her into my embrace, and the medics rush past.
"That poor boy," she said as she starts to cry.
"I know, I know," I say.
She sniffles a bit. She looks up at me and smile lightly. I give a sideways grin back, and she just giggles.
"Wanna take the elevators, now?" I ask, raising an eyebrow.
"Yeah," she says as she sniffles one more time.
We walk back towards the elevators, and I wrap my arm tightly around. This time, she doesn't struggle. She relaxed into me as we stepped in the elevator.
"Thank you," she mumbled into my chest as we leaned against each other in the corner.
I smile as she looks up at me. She gives me a peck on the lips, and I smile, again. The doors open, and we get out to walk towards the cafeteria. I secure my arm permanently around her waist as I see some guys checking her out.
She giggles. "Calm down."
"Why should I?" I ask.
"Because I don't think we should date," she says.
"What?" I say as I stop.
"Hey, shh. Keep it down. Look, I don't want anybody to know about us, yet. My album just came out, all this shit just happened with Brooks, and I–"
"Who's Brooks?" I cut in.
"My ex," she says as she puts her hands on my chest and looks down.
"Oh, I'm fine with that," I say.
"Thank you," she says gratefully.
"What are we supposed to do, though? We can't go on dates in public because paparazzi will notice us," I say and frown.
"Well..." she trails off as she draws circles on my chest.
She drags her lip through her teeth, and it makes me groan in frustration.
She looks down and presses closer to me."Don't do that," I say and pull her chin up.
"What?" she asks innocently.
"Bite your lip. It drives me nuts," I whisper.
She giggles in response. I sigh, and she smiles up at me.
"It's okay. We'll make it work," I say.
"Okay. Nobody except Jojo can know, though. Ryan will go crazy and do the 'if you hurt my sister you die' thing, and Justin will avoid me at all costs, so he doesn't have to see all our lovie-dovie shit," she says.
"'Lovie-dovie shit?" I say confused.
"That's what he calls it," she says and shrugged.
"Okay. So I sneak in your room at night?" I ask.
