Ben POV

I was by the Mal's lockers and noticed an old leather book. My curiosity got the best of me so I slowly tried to grab it when Mal wasn't looking. Right when I was about to touch it, her arm got a hold of my wrist.

"Please, don't touch that." She snapped at me.

"Why? What is it?" I asked. She released my hand and closed her locker.

"It's just a thing for my project."

"What thing?"

"It's just a book."

"I can see it's a book. What is it about?"

"I feel like you won't believe what I tell you." She looked down and looked at looked at the leather book cover.

"Just tell me what's it about, please." She sighed and opened it. It had multiple pages with drawings of creatures I've never seen before.

"My mother told me about this place when I asked her about my dad. She told me it's a hidden place deep in the woods and no one ever found it. She and my father went there to talk. He wrote and drew every detail about this place, the Moors."

I turned each page of the book, each with a subject I've never heard of. I looked at Mal, wondering if this place was true.

"You don't believe me, do you?" She asked.

"I'm not sure. I mean, how is it that no one found this place in all this time?"

"I don't know the answer to that, but I do know that my dad is somewhere out there."

"You're not thinking about going to this place, are you?"

"If it'll lead to some answers to my dad, then I have to go, and I'm not going to let you stop me." I thought about it for a moment, thinking about what she might be thinking.

She never knew her father, but she somehow knows he's alive. I would do anything to find my parents if I had that feeling.

"I'm not going to stop you." She looked at me surprised. "I can see that you want to find the one who's never been there for you. If that happened to me, I'll do the same."

She was quiet, but nodded her head. "Fine, I plan on leaving to find this place sometime after my project."

"Just be careful. No one's ever been to this place, and everything in the book may not be completely true."

"If my dad wrote down each detail in this," Mal while lifting the book up, "then I think that everything in here is true." The bell rang and she left to her class, but I held onto her hand.

"Just be careful."

Mal POV

I walked to my history class and sat in the middle near the windows, ever since the coronation. I used to sit at the very back corner, when I first came from the Isle Of The Lost, but now I sat in the middle to try to pay attention.

The class started and a few presented their family's history. I payed attention to parts of what they were saying, but I slowly pulled out the book my father wrote. I turned each page, still amazed at how detailed the drawings and facts were.

Each of these creatures are unique. My mother somehow found love, which make her unique. If my dad is an ordinary human, what so special about him.

"Mal," I looked up, seeing my teacher, Mr. Taylor, looking at me, "it's your turn."

I walked to the front of the class, and my project was up on the projector. I took a deep breath in, and looked at my classmates.

"Before my mother became The Dark Fairy, she was a normal girl. My grandmother made my mom learn the ways of evil at a young age. When my mother first got her horns, she nearly killed someone because they said she was too different. When she went back home, she was told by her mom to leave and change her name to Maleficent. When she refused, it all happened too quickly that my mother didn't realize that she killed her mother. Which leads her into traveling to nearby villa while her goblin army grew."

I switch to a slide where the village my father was supposedly in. "This was where my mom met my dad, when she was terrorizing the small village. My father somehow saw that she had goodness in her, and told her to meet in a secret place where no one ever seen."

On the next few slides, it showed one my father's drawing if the Moors. "This mysterious place was where my parents Mets and spent their time. When people found out that he was with the Mistress Of Darkness, he was forced to move to the Isle Of The Lost."

On my final slide, I showed a picture of the Isle Of The Lost with the barrier surrounding it. "After that moment, my father left my mother and wasn't heard from again."

Everyone was quiet, and Mr. Taylor walked up to me. He sighed and looked back at the picture of the Moors. "Do expect us to believe that your mother found love and met this man at a place no one has ever seen?"

"Yes, it is what she told me."

"I see that you did put in effort in this, but you could drown this place."

"I'm telling the truth," I said in a small angry voice. "And I have a book to prove it." I went back to my desk and took out the leather book. I handed it back to my teacher and he looked over it. He turned each page, sighed again.

"All of this isn't real. I mean, treelike warriors, graywings, how is any of this real?" I squeezed my fist together, holding in my anger.

"I know it's true! My father wrote these down for a reason, to show the truth of this."

"Well, I'm afraid you get an F, unless you can redo the assignment. I will give until next week Tuesday, which gives you 5." At that moment, the bell rang. I got all my stuff and marched out the door.

I know this is true! I need physical evidence of the existence of the Moors. The creatures may stop me, but I'm not going in alone.
