With every one of your eight phases
You light up everyone's faces
You light up the night turning it into a heavenly place
As you sit up there in space
You may be far away but you look so close
The light you make takes away all the shadows
As you sit up in the sky
Kids look up at you and wonder how high
You come out at the beginning of the night
Your view is an amazing sight
When you fade away
It's the start of a new day
Your appearance is way to short
The view from the airport
Is out of this world
When you come out it's the start of the dream world
With every phases that you bring
You make me want to sing
Far, far away you bring out the stars
And your not to far away from Mars
You get your light from the sun
And you give your light to everyone
We all love your beautiful view
We wish there were more of you
