The Vampire's Husband (Larry Stylinson AU) - Book Two

Chapter I

Today was the day, Louis and Harry were going to adopt a child. Harry was beyond excitement, he couldn't contain himself. Ever since the marriage, Harry has never stopped smiling, he was always cheerful and kind to everyone. Xander would be leaving with the couple, he was still assigned to protect Harry. Zayn and Archer have been tasked with handling all of the estate's needs while the couple is gone. Hawk was tending to the needs of the servants. The servants were starting to be treated equally, the estate hasn't taken in any new slaves. Louis promised Harry, he would only take in slaves when need be. Athana was still adjusting to the new life at the Stylinson estate, she loved it. The Stylinson estate was still waiting for Michael and the other angels to come and visit them. The newly rebuilt Dawnbreak estate is growing in numbers and power, Liam's leadership is weak. He is easily pushed around by his underlings, but Niall puts them in their place. He doesn't allow anyone to disrespect his boyfriend. The Night Hunt and Damon have received disturbing reports, but can't contact the Stylinson estate. They are attempting to get to them, but it could take days.

Louis was already up and dressed, he walked over to his husband and gave him a gentle push. The younger lad groaned and slowly opened his eyes, Louis stared into his emerald orbs for a time. He couldn't believe this lad in front of him was all his, he didn't belong to anyone else. Harry pulled Louis down onto the bed, which pulled him out of his thoughts. The boy pressed a gentle kiss to his husband's lips. It was sweet and tender, the boys continued to kiss until they needed to breath. 

"Hazza, get dressed." said Louis. Harry nodded and peck him on the lips, they never got tired of kissing each other. Harry got dressed and the couple walked out of their room. Louis and Harry intertwined their hands, they walked downstairs to the dining hall. Xander trailed directly behind them, he always knew where they were. Harry tried to hide from Xander sometimes, but he always found him..

The couple was almost at the dining hall when they were stopped by one of the new guardsman. He approached them and spoke, "It's a pleasure to meet you, Lord Stylinson." Louis nodded and the couple continued to walk towards the dining hall. The guardsman spoke, "And you Master Stylinson." Harry smiled and they entered the dining hall. 

The couple sat down and the servants served them their meals. Zayn, Archer, and Hawk were already seated at the table. There was always something missing from the estate, it was difficult without Niall. They missed his Irish accent and his eating behaviors. However, Liam was taking good care of his boyfriend.

The officers ate their meal in silence, until Hawk spoke, "My lords, are you going to adopt a child today?" The officers focused on the conversation at hand, they were interested in the adopting of a child. Louis already informed Zayn, Archer, Hawk, and Xander, they were going to help take care of the child. The officers would serve as 'uncles' to the child and Raven would be an 'aunt'. Louis has arranged the adoption with the local agency in the town, it was about an hour away from the estate. 

An agent from the agency was coming over to inspect the estate to make sure it meets all the requirements. If the estate failed the inspection, the agent wouldn't allow Louis and Harry to adopt a child from the agency. "Yes, we are waiting for an agent from the adoption agency. They are going to inspect the estate and if passed, we may adopt a child." said Louis. 

Harry was nervous about the inspection, he wanted to adopt a child badly. It would break his heart, if they failed the inspection. Louis has informed all of the vampires to act more human, the agency didn't know of them being vampires. He couldn't allow them to know, they needed it to remain a secret. They continued to eat their breakfast and have conversations between each other, until the agent arrived.

A vehicle pulls up to the estate and a woman exits the vehicle. She walks towards Balo and his group of guards. The woman is stopped by the gatekeeper and he speaks, "This private property, no visitors are allowed on the estate's grounds. Are you here for a specific reason?" asked Balo. He was informed an agent was coming from the agency, but he didn't know who it was or when. "Yes, I am from the adoption agency. I am here to see Louis and Harry Stylinson." said the woman.
