The Vampire's Husband (Larry Stylinson AU) - Book Two

Chapter XIII

The officers of the Stylinson estate are having dinner with each other. Everyone is joyful and happiness is surrounding the room. To everyone’s surprise Lady Bloomwood and Commander Waters are enjoying themselves, which brings a smile to Xander’s face. They continue to feast on their food and Tyler watches everyone having a cheerful time, even his parents.

Louis and Harry aren’t speaking to the others, they are too caught up in one another. The curly haired lad can’t remove himself from his husband. Louis wrapped his arm around Harry and once again, created a safe environment for him. “I love you, Haz.” said Louis. He leaned over and placed his lips on his husband’s cheek.

The curly haired lad grinned and blushed, Tyler just stared at his parents in awe. They were perfect for each other and nothing could change that. “I know and I love you too, Loubear.” Louis wasn’t able to respond to Harry’s statement, they were quickly sealed in a kiss. They pulled apart from each other, but gazed into the other’s eyes.

“If you haven’t notice, Tyler has been staring at us for a while.” said Louis. The curly haired lad looked at his son from the corner of his eye. Louis was right, their son was just staring at them. He wasn’t doing anything else and no one seemed to notice his obvious stare. “Tyler, eat your meal and stop staring at us!” said Harry.

He gained the attention of the others at the table for a moment. They didn’t expect him to snap at his son, but no one made anything of it. On the other hand, Tyler looked down at his meal and finished it. He didn’t enjoy his father raising his voice at him, but it was usually Louis. Whenever Harry yelled at him, he would get quite upset and remain quiet for the day.

The officers continued to speak with one another, until a guardsman entered the hall. They stared at the guardsman, but didn’t say anything to him. The guardsman approached Louis and spoke, “My lord, someone delivered this letter for you.” The older lad is surprised by the appearance of this letter, it bears the emblem of the Blackstar estate.

Louis opens the letter and reads it.

“Dear Louis Tomlinson,

         I refuse to call you by your new surname, it isn’t fitting for a vampire lord. I’m willing to offer you options to delay or end this war. If you wish to delay this war, please have Archer come to the ruins of the Blackstar estate. He will be faced with death and give you the needed time to prepare for war. However, I am willing to give you another choice for a delay in this war. Please have your husband; Harry and son; Tyler come to the ruins of the Blackstar estate. They will be faced with torture, but I’ll delay the war for an even greater time.

Louis reads the letter again and again. He couldn't believe Ariel would torture a child, but the man didn't have a heart. He was conflicted on the issue, he didn't know what to do. He wanted to provide safety and security to his estate, but at what cost. He didn't even think about sending Harry and Tyler to the ruins of the Blackstar estate. 

Louis readed the letter to the officers and waited for their response to it. Harry tightly put his arm around Tyler and the older lad noticed. He gave his husband a calming look and Harry knew he had no intend on sending Tyler to them. "My lord, I'm willing to go and give us a fighting chance in the war." said Archer.

Zayn immediately objected to Archer's statement. "Arch, you can't be serious! Ariel is clouding the truth like he always does, he's just going to attack us." Louis nodded and took both of their statements into his thoughts. He couldn't figure out what to do, it was conflicting for both parties. "Zayn's right. We would be sending you into a death trap, I won't allow it."
