The Vampire's Husband (Larry Stylinson AU) - Book Two

Chapter IV

The sun was starting to rise and all was quiet in the Stylinson estate. Not much noise could be heard from the estate, except for the guardsmen performing their duties. The estate's population was becoming larger and difficult to manage, but Louis and Zayn knew exactly how to handle it. 

Zayn and Archer were gathered in the dining hall for their usual morning conversations. They were joined by Hawk and Athana. The estate's member have learned to trust Athana to a specific limit. She was treating them with respect and they would do the same in return. She didn't have a difficult time performing her duties within the estate. They were simple duties and didn't require her to do anything to question her morals, if she has any. 

As with all groups, there are individuals who don't trust her at all. This would include Archer, he didn't want anyone to harm his Zayn. He has gotten accustom to calling Zayn 'his'. Zayn didn't mind being called 'his', he enjoyed how protective Archer was of him. Louis has the same opinion about her, it was difficult to trust someone who kidnapped his husband. 

The group was gathered in dining hall and it was quiet for most of the time. Zayn and Archer sat next to each other as they always do. Hawk takes his usual seat, he is opposite to them. However, Athana was sitting down, which she was not accustomed too. The group didn't mind and allowed her to take a seat at the table. Athana was only a guardswoman and they don't often join the officers in the dining hall. 

"Zayn, when will we be able to go on our vacation?" asked Archer. He was eagering about going on a vacation with his boyfriend. He wanted the alone time with Zayn and it was difficult to develop their relationship and keep up with the Stylinson estate. Zayn and Archer always kept their duties and relationship apart, it wasn't good to mix the two. 

Zayn finished his coffee and spoke, "I have spoken to Lou. He said we could leave around a week before Christmas and return on Christmas Eve. I don't want to miss it for the sake of Harry and Tyler. Ok?" Archer nodded and finished his coffee, it was going to be an exciting end of the year. 

It was near the end of November and Archer couldn't wait for it to come. He wanted to have Zayn all to himself. Archer nodded and pecked Zayn on the lips. Zayn smiled and Athana spoke, "Captain, isn't it a bad idea to have both of the captains leave the estate? Who will be incharge while you are gone?" She was jealous of the relationship Zayn and Archer shared. 

Archer stared at her and he did not enjoy the company of Athana. He could always see Athana was out of steal Zayn from him. Archer placed his hands on Zayn's shoulders and allowed Zayn to speak, "Considering Archer and I are in a relationship, we deserve to have time alone together. Our positions in the estate shouldn't block us from enjoying our relationship. Hawk and Balo will be able to run the estate, we will only be gone a week at most."

Athana accepted this answer and left the room. Archer wrapped his arms around Zayn and rested his head on Zayn's shoulder. "I love you, Z." said Archer. The other captain was about to respond, but was interrupted by Archer kissing him. They kissed with passion and Zayn pulled away for air. "I love you too, Arch." said Zayn. They continued their snogging session for a short time, until Hawk cleared his throat.

The couple pulled away and looked at Hawk. "Sorry, Hawk." said Zayn. The officer nodded and left the dining hall to finish his duties. "I guess it's time for us to part ways. I have other duties to do." said Archer. He pecked Zayn on the cheek and left to go and perform his duties. Zayn smiled and was relished in the relationship he shared with Archer. 

He loved Archer with all his might, but no one would be able to replace his beloved wife. He loved his wife and nothing was going to get into the way of that. However, he knew dwelling on the past would only lead to emotional pain and problems. He hasn't informed Archer about his beloved wife, but planned too. It was difficult for Zayn to speak about his wife. Archer needed to know the truth about his wife. It would only be fair considering Archer has only been honest with his boyfriend.
