Damon's POV

I watched after Ever's walking form, her hips swaying effectively, but I wasn't sure if she was purposefully walking like that or if that was her natural way of walking, but either way...damn.

I don't know how long I was staring after Ever's walking form for but I was grateful when I heard a familiar voice snapping me back to reality.

"Oi! What are you doing standing there like an imbecile for? Come on, let's get food!" Joseph yelled.

I smiled and rolled my eyes at him, shaking my head to get Ever out of my head. I walked back into the classroom, grabbing my bag and then walking beside Joseph as we made our way to the cafeteria.

"What is wrong with you now?" Joseph asked, obviously questioning my silence.

I shrugged and shook my head. "Nothing, just been told I have to tutor some girl," I told him, which in all honestly, was quite true to why I was being silent. I was a little annoyed that I had to tutor Ever but I was also jumping with joy at spending more time with her. What is going on with me?!

Joseph waggled his eyebrows at me and grinned impishly. "Well that doesn't sound too bad at all." He purred.

I couldn't help but laugh at him and shake my head. "It's not like that. She's different." I stated.

Joseph's expression fell and he raised an eyebrow curiously. "Why? Who is she?" he asked, staring at me thoughtfully.

"It's Ever, you know the 'Freak'?" I asked, referring to her nickname that I'm pretty sure he only knew her by.

Joseph's eyes widened in shock. "Really?" he asked surprised. "Wow, I would have thought she'd be one of those girls that gets all A's and that." He commented.

I shrugged in response. "According to Boggs, she's failing every subject." I informed him.

Joseph raised both his eyebrows in shock and I only nodded. "I guess she's got a lot of things going on in her life right now." I said thoughtfully.

I couldn't help but let my mind once again drift back to her, her soft plump lips, her big blue doe eyes and small slim figure I just wanted to - no. No, you don't want to! Stop thinking about her, Damon! She's nothing, just a girl you kissed, she's a nobody! I mentally scolded myself.

I quickly shook my head of the thoughts and followed behind Joseph to our usual table surrounded by our friends. I took my seat at the head of the table with Joseph on one side and the other space beside me empty, a certain little red-head absent from her usual seat.

Scrunching up my eyebrows in confusion at her absence, I looked around the cafeteria not catching sight of her fiery red hair anywhere. Well this is unusual.

I looked towards Joseph who was laughing with some girl on the cheerleading squad, whatever the hell her name was, though I was pretty sure I'd slept with her before...

Meh, I've lost track after so long. What could I say? I was a pig, I'd been told many times before by many different girls, it was nothing new to me and I wasn't afraid to admit that I was.

I swatted Joseph's arm with the back of my hand and he winced slightly. Oh dude man up! I barely even hit you! I instantly thought rolling my eyes at him. "What?" he spat, obviously holding a grudge over me for hitting him. What a little girl he was sometimes.

"Have you seen Rose today?" I asked, tilting my head to the side in confusion. She never misses a day off school, she's kind of nerdy like that, bless her.

Joseph nodded and grinned, which made me smile slightly knowing that he had a certain soft spot for the little devil. "Yeah, I saw her in English last hour." He informed me.
