Damon's POV

What the hell was she wearing?

Was she personally trying to drive me insane?

Oh God, how was I supposed to concentrate on tutoring her when she was wearing that? I swear she was unintentionally trying to tease me.

Isn't it enough that I can't stop thinking about kissing her?

Clearly not...

It took everything inside of me to walk away from her and not press her against the lockers and kiss her in front of the entire school population, I honestly don't think I would have cared what they thought of me kissing her. Oh God this was going to be torture, trying to keep my hands to myself that is.

Mentally scolding myself for thinking of Ever like that, I shuffled to my locker, ignoring the stares that followed me there. I pulled out some books to help me with tutoring Ever and made my way to my group of friends, immediately spotting Rose's fiery red hair.

I stepped in beside Rose and smiled at her softly; unable to keep my mind off of seeing Rose climb out of the same car as the girl I cannot seem to keep my mind off of.

It seemed kind of...surreal. Seeing my best friend with Ever and even more surreal that the girl that had distracted me in the game last night, the one Rose gave me advice on was actually riding to school with her.

I smirked down at Rose when she smiled at me, remembering our conversation last night. "Hey, Rose, how's your sister?" I asked, smirking at the thought of Lyse, I wasn't at all kidding when I asked to meet her, she sounded like a whole load of fun and teasing, a lot like Rose really, and if she was just as hot as Rose, then I'd be all for meeting her even more.

Rose rolled her eyes. "She has no interest in the likes of you." She smirked up at me.

"Well if you introduce us, I can easily change her mind." I waggled my eyebrows.

She snorted. "Trust me; she's too stubborn to ever think of dating you."

And just with that sentence, I tensed, my mind instantly drawing back to Ever's beautiful face.

Could I ever be free of her?!

And there it is again! Ever, Ever, Ever, why is she all I can think about?! All I have to do is say a few words, and there she is, in my head again! I don't even freaking know the girl!

"Oh great, now you're in a foul mood. What did I say?" Rose sighed, rolling her eyes taking in my hard expression.

"Nothing," I grumbled, glaring at nothing in particular.

A smirk suddenly rose on her lips. "I know what this is about," she stated smugly and I raised an eyebrow. "This is about that girl, isn't it? Because like my Lyse, she's too stubborn to date you."

Yes, she's the girl you carpooled with this morning, the girl everybody teases and picks on and calls her names, the girl I have to tutor, oh hell this was torture, I thought grudgingly, but I was too proud and had too much ego to admit that to her or anyone for that matter.

"No," I muttered disgruntled, clearly showing how true her statement actually was.

"I told you what you need to do, now are you going to tell me who this girl is?" she teases.
