She herd gunshots erupt out of no where. She knew it was the day her people have been dreading for their entire lives. They are finally here. Too kill them all. Even if they begged for mercy, they wouldn't listen.

She darted in and out of ally's to reach her destination. Looking ahead she saw her family. Laying in the street.

Covered in blood.

She yelled for help.

But nobody came.

She knew they were near. Yelling. Crying. Gunshots.

Then a bomb went off. She had to get out of there. No matter how much determination it would take. She had to stop this war. They need to understand, that they are innocent.

3 years earlier

There were bombs going off in the distance. Her mom knew. She knew. We all knew they were coming. She cried and picked up her pillow and blanket, only being 10 at the time.

She got up to check if her siblings are alright. They are fine. A small smile tugged on her lips to watch them sleep so peacefully. Not yet aware of the immanent danger lurking in their near future.

She stopped by her parents room.  Her mother was awake, but her dad has always been a heavy sleeper.

She always pretended like she didn't know anything that was happening. She did it for her parents. For something to give them determination. In reality she was mature beyond her years.

"Mommy!", she cried "What are those noises??"

"Don't worry sweetheart."

"They are only fireworks."

She needs to train. She will be strong. For her family.

January 4th 2027

It's her 16th birthday today. 4 years of restlessness. She honestly feels over 25. No matter. All her family is dead anyway.

She gained and then lost friends along the way. She is reaching her breaking point. Most of the time she tried to negotiate with them. After she would end up getting shot. Even though, she still believed that all people had some sort of kindness in them.

She has long forgiven the man that had killed her family. She saw him. Staring directly at her. While she held her dead mother. He aimed his gun.

But he didn't shoot.

He merely walked away.

She saw him look back once.

But he left to kill more of her people.

Knowing that he spared her filled her with determination.

She used that example as her only hope. Her only reason to keep on going. At this point.. She wished he shot her that day.

She trained. Now she was fit and could lift things twice her body weight. Her training is the explanation on how she was still alive.

But she was slowly loosing hope.

She knew she had nothing left to loose. She fled from the country years ago.

She pushed the loose strands of her medium long hair out of her face.

She was always curious about the mountain near her current location. The fabled Mount Ebott. She had a taste of adventure. Maybe stay up there for a couple days to see what all the hype was about.

The legends said anyone who went up there would never come back. Pshhhh they are called "legends" for a reason.

Finally making up her mind. She decided to venture out to the mountain. Nightfall should be the best time... Yah. She was filled with determination.

It was so freaking dark. She sighed inwardly. She checked her holographic watch. It read 2am.

Not bad for a 3 hour jog. Sitting down next to a tree she took out her fourth water bottle and consumed all the liquid in a mere two seconds.

Exhausted she looked for a place to rest.

She didn't notice the hole.

Or the tree branch.

She tripped.

And fell over 30 feet.

The impact knocked her out.

Landing in a bed of yellow flowers.
