-~The Skelebros~-
-~Sans POV~-
-The next morning-
I wasn't able to sleep the entire night. These nightmares of previous timelines keep freaking me out. They were the reason I didn't dance anymore. That and being shy.
"Where the hell is my trombone?" I groaned
I checked behind the couch. Nope.
I went upstairs to check my room. Nope. I looked at the bed checking if the human was still there. She was sleeping soundly.
For the first time in years, I actually gave a real smile. Sighing I checked Papyrus room. Strangely he was not there. I do remember him coming into the house but leaving to go to Mettatons?
I swear if they do something fishy.
I checked the closet and saw the smol white fluffy dog that has been living with us for years. It held the trombone in it's mouth wagging it's tail wildly when it saw me.
"Toby... Drop it." I stated in a threatening tone.
It stared at me for two seconds before rushing past me through the open door.
"Ugh I swear I will kill that dog on day." I muttered under my breath. Teleporting into my room I stepped on the human's tutu that has been carelessly tossed onto the floor. Along with her shoes.
I checked the bed and she wasn't there. I teleported back to Papyrus' room and she wasn't there either. That's when I heard soft giggling from downstairs.
I teleported into the living room. She was in the kitchen laughing really hard because Toby was licking her face. Along the counter was ingredients to make spaghetti. I'm pretty sure at this point Papyrus would love her.
"Aren't-y-you-th-e-mos-t precious-thin-gg!" She yelled in between laughs. She picked up Toby and cuddled him into her chest. He then started purring loudly. She gave the dog an odd look and put him down making him whine.
Her voice sounded like one of a fallen angel. I'm pretty sure that's what she is, I chucked at the thought.
"Don't worry we will continue this later." She said while pointing her wooden spoon at him.
Thank Asgore her back was turned this entire time. Before she turned I picked up my trombone and teleported into my room. Placing the instrument down, I made my way downstairs. I don't want to show her all I can do. Not now. Not yet at least.
"Morning kiddo. Whatcha makin?" I said
"Oh just some spaghetti recipe that has been running in my family for generations." She murmured quietly.
Shy. I'm sure she'll eventually come around. I looked her over. She was wearing black leggings and she was wearing my hoodie. Her hair was pulled into a messy bun, with her bangs covering her eyes. Loose strands fell over everywhere. Tempting me to tuck them in.
"Hey do you know how I got here?" She asks cautiously
"Um yah, you sort of got knocked out and you were really cold so I brought you to my place to spend the night."
"Thanks." She mumbled
"And hey, I didn't quite 'catch' your name back there." I chuckled
She blushed a light red.
"My name's Frisk. How bout you?"
"Sans, the Skeleton." I replied happily.
"Nice to meet you Frisk." I stretched out my hand for her to shake. She hesitated for two seconds before shaking.
phhhhhhhhhhhhhttttttt....
I burst out laughing while rolling on the floor. Oh MAN HER FACE ;D
I got up, wiping a tear off my eye socket. "Old woopie cushion in the hand trick. Gets them everytime."
She gave me one more questioning glance before returning back to her cooking. It smelt so good. Suddenly the door burst open.
"SANS I'M BACK. WOWIE WHAT IS THAT SMELL. ARE YOU ACTUALLY COOKING FOR ONCE INSTEAD OF LOUNGING AROUND! THE GREAT PAPYRUS APPROVES!!" I heard Papyrus boom.
Frisk now looked more frightened than ever staring into the living room in a battle ready stance.
"Oh, I forgot to mention I had a brother named Papyrus." I whispered
"It's too late for that." She said harshly.
"Yo Pap! I'm in the kitchen!" I said while picking up Frisk.
"SaAAAnNSsS! Put me DOWN!" She screamed.
I walked out of the kitchen while carrying Frisk bridal style.
"WOWIE A HUMAN! HELLO HUMAN! IT IS I. THE GREAT PAPYRUS! AND FUTURE LEADER OF THE DANCE SQUAD!!!" Papyrus boomed.
Frisk looked highly confused and gave us both a questioning look.
"Hey, I'm Frisk." She mumbled while sticking her hand out. Papyrus shook her hand.
phhhhhhhhhhhhhttttttt....
I looked down at her in awe. She was smiling so wide that it reached her ears. I walked over to the couch. Put her down. Then sat on the floor.
I looked at Papyrus having the most shocked look on his face.
Then I started laughing my heart out.
"SANS WILL YOU QUIT TURNING ALL MY NEW FRIENDS INTO NUMBSKULLS LIKE YOU!!!" Pap roared
That made me laugh harder. Then I heard Frisk join in as well. At this point, tears were running down my face.
"I'm so done. Going to bed.." I heard Pap say as he walked over to his room.
I stood up and smiled widely at Frisk.
"Nice one kid." I beamed at her.
"Welp I'm off to The Last Corridor for the annual Dance War." She gave me a confused glance.
"Oh, the Dance War happens each year, to celebrate the return of Asriel, the son of Queen Toriel and King Asgore. This is only the third one anyways. The Prince gets to choose which monsters go against who. I'm usually just there to watch."
"Sans don't you dance?" She asked
"No I haven't danced in a while kiddo. Stuff changes, I just lost motivation."
I looked at her having the most determined look on her face.
"Kid it's never going to happen so just give up now." I said as I watch disappointment take over her expression. "Ugh. Fine. Just this once." Her smile bloomed while I smirked back.
"Now let's go!" She replied.
