Legit Christmas

It was Robin's idea to do something else afterwards. Everyone got in their Christmas pajamas, which was just festive sweatpants and a "Bah Humbug" t-shirt, and stereo typically sat around the fireplace. 

My phone was ringing from my pocket, I picked it up to find that it was my aunt trying to FaceTime me, I answered the phone to see my aunt and uncle, and all five of my siblings.

"Hey Robin, could you get this up there" I said gesturing to the screen, and he quickly pressed a few buttons and they appeared.

"This is my family" I said. 

M'gann freaked out over the toddlers, I guess she likes babies too, Wally and Fallon became best friends, and Artemis and Holly had the same sarcastic attitude. 

After about half an hour of talking to them before saying goodnight and explaining for about ten minutes to Fallon and Knox that Santa would just drop off my presents here, M'gann got her apple pie out of the oven.

Wally and I were already to the kitchen when we heard the zeta tube's feminine voice announce a name.

"Red Arrow B-0-6" 

Robin, Kaldur, Wally, and I stopped in our tracks. 

I flew over quickly and brought him into the tightest hug I've probably ever given someone.

"Did the spirit of Christmas kicking you in the balls inspire you to visit your friends?" I said sarcastically. 

"I guess so" Roy said.

"Come on, we've got pie" Wally said before pushing his way through the kitchen.

After about five pieces, I sat down next to Artemis in front of the fireplace. 

"Hey, do you actually, like, like me?" I asked in the most awkward fashion ever.

"Was it someone else who I was kissing in that closet?" She said sarcastically. 

She leaned her head on my shoulder, and before we knew it, everyone (including us) was asleep. 

By the way, the fire miraculously went out overnight. I'm not sure how, because I sure as hell didn't see anyone put it out, so maybe it was red?

The next morning I was woken up by a very excited M'gann and Wally. She was overwhelmed with joy for her first Earth Christmas, and Wally, well, he's just Wally. We all got up to find the Christmas presents that we had each left for each other under the tree. Everyone walked over, anxious to find out what their teammates got them. 

Did I forget to tell you about secret santa? I did, didn't I. Anyways, I got Artemis, that's why I got her the necklace last night.

After the gift exchange, everyone was wearing ugly Christmas sweaters and Santa hats. 

"Okay, I do believe it's time for secret santa" Wally announced. 

We all got up and sat in a circle on the floor, and I brought the plate of M'gann's cookies with me.

"Why doesn't Conner go first?" Kaldur said in his regular calm voice. Conner reluctantly got up and grabbed the box labeled with his name on it. He opened it to find a pair of tights, causing Wally to almost choke on the cookie he was eating. I honestly don't think we even need to guess on this one.

So it turns out, Robin got M'gann, M'gann got Kaldur, Kaldur got Artemis, Artemis got Wally, Wally got Conner, Conner got me, and I got Artemis. Artemis was the last picked, right after me. Conner had gotten me a flannel, I wonder if that's what he thinks about when he's sitting in silence awkwardly. 

I handed Artemis the small box that the woman at the cash register took way to long to gift wrap. She immediately ripped off the ribbon and wrapping paper and opened the small, turquoise blue box. As soon as she laid eyes on the necklace, she turned to her side and kissed me full on the lips. 

"So I'm guessing you like it?" I said, "How did you know it was me?".

"I was with you last night, I'm not stupid" She replied before kissing me again.

And then we realized, everyone else was in the room.
