After breakfast I went up to my bedroom and got dressed.

"Dad" "Can I go out"? I asked.

"Where"? My dad asked.

"To the park" "I'll take Sammy" I said.

"Sure" "be back for lunch" He said.

Sammy got dressed and we walked out the front door.We walked down the street to Sammy's school. Sammy is in 5th grade. I looked at the time on my phone,10:20 A.M.The school is really close to our house.

When we were half way there,Sammy ran to the school.I could still see him from here.I stopped and froze. What is Eric doing at the school. I know he saw he because He looked at the ground. I walked up to Eric.

"Hi Eric" I said.

"Hey" "You brought Sammy"? Eric Asked.

"Yeah" I said.

Eric and I are good friends... I guess.He isn't as shy as Chris though. Eric is only Shy around me.Sammy never really talks to my friends but,he talks to Eric a little.

"Do u want to hang out with Sammy and I"? I asked.

"S-sure" He answered.

I walked over to the bench close by Sammy.Eric sat beside me.He didn't even look at me.I watched Sammy play on the slide. I check the time on my phone,10:35 A M.

Sammy noticed Eric was here.Sammy waved at Eric,Eric waved back.Sammy went down the slide and ran over to Eric and I.

"Hey Sammy!" Eric said.

"Hi" sammy said quietly.

Sammy ran back to the slide. I smiled at Eric,he smiled back and blushed.wait...Eric out of his house..ERIC?!?

"Why aren't you at your house playing video games"? I asked.

"I don't play video games any more,I never spent any time with Mary" "and now...its killing me" Eric said.

"Oh" I said.

"So,how are you holding-"

-BANG-

I looked over at Sammy.

"SAMMY"! I shouted.

Eric and I ran over to Sammy. He fell off the slide. Sammy's head was bleeding a little.

"Sammy"! "Are you okay"?!? I asked.

"Yes" "but my head hurts" Sammy answered.

Eric took off his black sweatshirt and cleaned the blood off of Sammy's head.

"You got to be careful little guy" Eric said.

-No answer-

"Thanks Eric" I said smiling.

Sammy and I got up.I gave Eric his sweatshirt back.

"Here" I said.

"Thanks" Eric said while taking his
sweatshirt.

"I'm going home" "bye Eric" I said.

"Bye" Eric said.

I put my hands on Sammy's shoulders and we started to walk home.
