~30 minutes later~

My dad and I arrive at his work and he makes me sit in his office and wait for him until he comes back.As I wait I bite my fingernails.I start to tap my foot nervously.I don't even know why I'm nervous.I hear footsteps coming from the hall.Then my dad walks in.

"I have some papers that need to be recycled" My dad said.

"Okay...and"?

"Since your grounded you can sort through all these papers"

He sets a big pile of paper on his desk right next to me.It makes me jump when he sets it down.Lately I've been really jumpy because of the text messages from Mary and the note.

"I have to sort through that whole pile"?! I asked.

"Yep.And that pile over there" And he points to another stack of papers.

"That's a lot"

"Not my problem" As he said this he walks out of the room.

This is a really large pile of papers.Why does he hate me so much?Well, I should get started.

~10 minutes later~

As I'm going through the papers I see an article about Mary's death.I read "Was Mary Johnson's death an accident?"

I continued to read."A sweet teenage girl,Mary Johnson was found at Base Side River,dead". "Police think Mary jumped off Base Side bridge". "But Mary had bruises around her neck"."Why wouldn't the police tell everyone what they discovered about Mary?". "Sadly I can't answer that question.I wish I could.Mary was loved by everyone.Who and why would anyone do this to this sweet,loving girl?"

At the end of the article was a picture of Mary and I when it was summer.I didn't know Mary had bruises around her neck before she died.That is very odd.
