Chapter Twenty Two. The End.

Three years later...

“Addy, get your ass out here now." I was tapping my foot on the floor, not so patiently waiting for her. It had been a long, anxious road and I couldn't wait any longer.

"Will you just remove the wadded up panties from your ass these things take time. I can't rush it." Addy yelled at me through the bathroom door.

Three minutes later the door creaked open and she stuck her head out. Addy's face was pale and she looked like she'd thrown up, or could possibly throw up. I jumped to my feet and walked over to the door, pushing it open slightly.

"Well?" I was bouncing up and down slightly on the balls of my feet. I couldn't wait any longer for her to tell me.

"It's positive, Mia. It says I'm pregnant." I screamed and jumped up and down, pulling Addy into my arms and making her jump with me. A moment later both Marcus and Oliver burst through the bedroom door, looking around for the cause of alarm.

"What's wrong? What's going on?" Marcus said as he looked around the room and calmed, realizing there was nothing to worry about. Addy and I were still jumping up and down, crying in each other's arms now. 

"Hey, can you two calm down and tell us what's going on? You're both crying." Addy stopped jumping and the smile on her face said it all. I stopped jumping a second later and we both turned towards the guys. Marcus searched Addy's face and a few seconds later it all clicked. He moved to her, pulling her tightly into his arms.

"Tell me it says yes," Marcus breathed into her hair.

I heard Addy's faint happy sob as I walked over to Oliver. He wrapped his arm around my shoulders and whispered not so quietly against my ear. "What's happening?"

"I'm pregnant," Addy said as she pulled away from Marcus. She and Marcus were both crying and it was clear Marcus didn't care that anyone saw him showing emotion like this. They were excited and they had every right to be.

"Momma, why are you crying?" James asked as he walked into the room. Addy and Marcus had adopted James two years ago after they'd decided to stop trying. They'd said that having a biological child would happen if it was going to but they were done killing themselves over it. James was eight months old when the adoption agency called and since that day, Marcus and Addy had been some of the best parents I'd ever seen.
